Cant say I was quite so taken. I think he was a whole lot of huff on Leonard, and would need dragging into the ring to meet Duran. Cervantes was finished, too.

Excellent fighter, and probably a great of his own, somewhat limited division, but an all-timer? No way, IMO.

Dave Boy Green and Andy Price disagree with you.

Niether of them were hit with hurtful 6 punch combos, man

When Leonard thre that many shots, it was invariably a bit of razzle-dazzle and nothing more, there was generally ONE real hard shot out of the 6

Pryor threw all of them as hurtful punches

I SERIOUSLY suggest you rewatch the Andy Price fight. Or watch his fight with Ranzany.

About 90% of PRIME Leonard's punches were designed to fuck a guy up.

    Don't confuse him with Taylor.

In any case, as you know I'm a HUGE Pryor fan, and although the Hawk let his hands go MORE than Leonard. When Ray did let his hands go, his combos were faster, more fluid, and more devestating than Pryor's.

I suggest YOU rewatch those fights and find me a fully committed SIX (not 3, 4), SIX punch combo by Leonard

It ought to be obvious I'm not confusing him with Taylor... What I am saying, and it is a FACT, is that when Leonard was looking to hurt a guy, he did it in a far more textbook way, hard three punch combinations... If he was throwing more than that, it was usually because he was playing a bit

Agreed. Benitez had he been in another era could be well remembered as the greatest Puerto Rican of all time.

I think Trinidad accomplished more so thats why its closer than it should be I guess.

But El Radar was the better guy on his day.

Frazier or Dempsey? They each had excellent pre-title runs, smoking & mauling their way through a quality field of contenders. Not many title defenses from either, but some good wins after claiming the belt as well. Frazier had clearly the biggest individual victory, Dempsey, nearly twice as many career fights, with outstanding winning & knockout percentages.

Slightly lean towards Frazier, the winner of arguably the biggest fight in the history of boxing.

    Pernell Whitaker or Thomas Hearns

Sweet Pea clearly... Tommy was a great fighter and head to head, he'd clearly be impossible for Pernell to beat, he'd win 100 out of 100... but measured in historical greatness, Whitaker is the better man, much more dominant, far less vulnerable

    Zarate or Chandler?

Good one. Zarate, close. I think you could make an outsiders case for Zarate as the greatest Mexican ever.

Archie Moore or Gene Tunney? Not just as LHWs, but overall.
