Yup, good film. Under-rated when it came out but picked up a nice following later. Probably Bill Paxton's best performance. The kids were excellent to, especially the older one. Paxton showed a lot of promise as a director. Makes you wonder why he hasn't done much of it since.
it's a good movie but i saw the ending coming from the very start of the movie :dunno: did it suprise anyone at all?
Surprised me! Perhaps you were expecting a twist from the mere fact that we recommended it. * Warning: SPOILERS * You knew that McConnaughey's character was the younger brother all along? You knew that his father wasn't crazy?
naaah i wasnt expecting a twist at all i thought they'd all be crazy, so i didnt know the powers were legit but i knew what McConnaughey was up to when they were going for a drive AND that the cop would be on the list....so i knew he'd be the killer, but not necessarily the younger brother, then towards the end i suspected that he'd be the younger brother..though not right away since i thought maybe the older brother would become crazy too it's a good movie anyway...bill paxton was unintentionally hilarious, i love the guy
I know...even when he's playing a fucked up, violent character like this, he's still funny. I heard he improvised the "game over" line in Aliens.
