I just watched and scored the fight as it happened

I had it 7-5 for Pac

8-4 for either guy is an absurd scorecard... but it's downright scandalous for Marquez

He didn't. Neither did Pac. No neither did shit. It is hilarious to spout off on the notion of clarity for a fight like this. Marquez's punches were slaps, designed to make contact. Pac through hard and landed nothing. If you think this was clear, you are biased or a Mexican urine drinker.

I could live with a draw, even a close Pacquiao decision. But 8-4 like one of the judges had it is scandalous and reaks of corruption.

To be fair 2 of the 3 judges were honest.

There is NO WAY Pacquiao won seven rounds, indeed.

How many rounds were clear. In my estimation, not enough for either guy.

The clearest rounds were 5,6,7,8 and Marquez won those convincingly.

Marquez won this round...I think most scored the right hook by Pac as the telling blow at the end of the round but the fact of the matter is Marquez landed a shot equally as good within the first thirty seconds of the round. Marquez leads with a left uppercut that clearly lands (you hear the shot) then Lampley incorrectly states "left hand over the top by Pacauiao."

Manny lands a straight left, nothing much happens both guys land jabs, Manny a straight left to the body then Marquez lands a left to the body just under Manny's elbow then backs Manny up with a left uppercut then right hand that both land through Manny's guard. Manny lands a left.

I felt Marquez was in control of the round despite Manny landing two shots at the end. Marquez controlled the pace of the round.

At this point I had Marquez up 2 to 1

You know this fight should actually ENCOURAGE Mayweather to face Pacquaio but it wont.

In the end, his fans have more confidence in him than he does in himself.

He'll probably say "There aint no point in me facing Pacquiao because he lost again to Marquez whom I whooped":wack:

And of course his fans will give him a pass just like they did when Floyd "retired" to get out of facing Cotto, Williams, Margarito, and Clottey when they were all on top of the division.

    nah.

If Pac does the tests this fight is on.

I overheard Floyd in the background shouting:

"Take the tests and I'll whup your ass. Take the tests and I'll tear your ass up!"

if anything...Arum knows that Pac would have lost a little bit of his aura. Pac NEEDS the Mayweather fight now and as such I think Arum will cooperate.

Jus watched the fight this morning. This is one of those bouts where the underdog does better than expected and gets more credit than he deserves. It seems the tendency is to award the underdog rounds for NOT losing them badly.

All in all however, Manny landed more shots and he landed the bigger shots. JMM gave a great account of himself and shocked most people, but he deserved to lose a close decision.

That renders your opinion void. Round 12 was a clear Pacquiao round, Marquez did literally nothing, just backed up and avoided fighting.

I can see Marquez winning the 2nd, MAYBE even the 3rd, but if you think he won the 1st fight you're a complete idiot, or extremely biased.

The only robbery of the 3 was Pacquiao receiving a draw in the 1st.

you sure are the right person to discuss the topic of bias with.

marquez is a legend, pacquiao is a false prophet.

The first fight was one of the worst robberies in history. Pacman won by no less than 5 points. He won at least as many rounds and dropped Marquez thrice.

I had always though Pac sort of sleep walked in the rematch. He dominated the first fight and gave Marquez a rematch he frankly didn't even deserve.

I guess I am wrong though. Marquez just has his number. This does not bode well against PBF. As has been stated, PBF does everything better.

I can't take seriously anyone that thinks the first fight was a draw much less a win for Marquez. To me, it is absolutely the same as saying Holyfield bested Lewis in the first fight, or Pea lost to Chavez. It is a ludicrous opinion lacking any semblance of rationality or boxing acumen.

Basically yeah - I see it exactly the same way. Pacquiao won no less than 6 rounds, and scored a 10-6 round in the first. Clear, clear win for Pacquiao.

Even as a big Pacquiao fan I wouldn't have complained about the rematch going Marquez's way.

Manny was very tentative and looked to be going through the motions in the rematch, but in this fight he just looked crap. Looked so much slower to pull the trigger, and his hands and feet seemed to have slowed down a lot.

I wouldn't have complain if people have it 2-1 for Marquez. It just makes me livid that the Marquez Maricones claim anything about the first fight. I actually thought Pac it could be argued Pac won fight 2 closer than this one. The last 2 fights really could have gone either way. I actually like both fighters. I like Pac more, but I don't feel biased. I just think that the judges see two guys doing pretty much the same amount of damage one guy is walking in the other is taking a half step back. The gods favor aggression and so do most judges.
