    No he wouldn't.

In the general history of the past 15 years of the 140lb division, Timmy is a C and Khan is a C+. Maidana is a C and Alexander is a C-. Kotelnik is a C. Gavin Rees is a D, or at least he would be if "D" and "Gavin Rees" belonged in the same sentence.

In short, these guys are pretty average fighters.

Floyd, Manny and possibly JMM represent a different level.

Khan has come back to win big fights though, and has already tried to make a fight with one of last nights combatants. Fury has done precisely nothing. Not comparable.

Prescott did look good last night and I am putting a firm stamp on this matter now and am coming out saying that Prescott, stylistically, always beats khan. I didn't think so many months ago, but my mind is pretty set now on the matter.

Wow. I apologize. I am outclassed. He looked tremendous getting knocked OUT. After all, we all know the point of boxing is to dominate and then get knocked out in crunch time. Got to love Prescott losing 4 times to great opposition. He has been a terror. His record shows that this loss by Khan was justified. Prescott is on his way to being Sugar Ray Robinson.

Brescott made Kevin Mitchell look like Wilfred Benitez. He's pretty bad.

just making concessions to the great boxing mind of Neil. Prescott is so awesome. On the night he beat the esteemed a mere con, Prescott would have beaten any fighter.

Back to the subject of Floyd. If we REALLY examine styles, the toughest fight for Floyd outta this whole bunch hasnt even been mentioned yet.

Mike Jones would be Floyd's toughest test, IMO.

One thing I know for SURE...... Jones would rape Con, and Timmy the head.

yes, Mike Jones seems to have the size. If you are bigger than Khan, and take away his size and reach, you are in business.

khan would kill prescott now lol the only interest would be is that prescott has knocked him out before, but khan is a million times better now and has took harder punches off harder guys since. mcclosky amd mitchell made prescott look average.

McCloskey and Mitchell are different types of fighters, with different styles. Prescott's style I believe now would always give Khan problems, plus he has the height too to match Khan and he does have some speed.

Khan won me over as far as not being overly coddled when he took the Maidana fight. Given the style match up that was a big risk

You can accuse Khan of lots of things but he isn't coddled. Coddled would have been staying in the UK and milking his belt 'til the day dot. He's fought Maidana, Paulie, Judah and Kotelnik in the last two years. 140lb may be full of crap right now, but he's fighting what is there.

first off, he fights NO British or European LIGHTWEIGHT champs when he was at light-weight, preferring to feast on midgets dragged up from 126 or 130, guys like Gomez or Limond, both of whom managed to expose his chin and his stylistic limitations. During this he earns a fortune for fighting, and looking shit against, nobodies. This sequence ends with Prescott destroying him.

Amir then gets a title crack against noted killer and all-round psycho, Kotelnik.

Now, how does a guy go from being gone in under 60 seconds to getting a title shot? Well he fights map-faced Oisin Fagan and then he fights Barrera. Two fights. One versus a total bum, ok, come-back fight. The second versus a guy whose career started at 122 around 18 years previously.

Now, the Barrera fight is key. Barrera gets cut very early, and the fight should have been stopped there and then, No-Contest. Instead they let it go on just long enough for Amir to shuffle up a few rounds, then they pull the plug, Khan is credited with destroying a legend {via TD} and then he gets a title shot. Thats coddled. Put any spin on it one likes.

As soon as he has "beaten" Kotelnik, he says Frank Warren is no good for him, that the foetid racist atmosphere of Great Britain is too much for him {this is the same GB where Bruno, Benn and Hamed had cult followings} and he fucks off to America to fulfill his chemical infatuations with Alex Ariza.

He follows this up with stage-managed fight with McCloskey where, yes, yet again, a this-time inoccuous cut is allowed bring the fight to a halt where, yes, yet again, Khan picks up another devastating TD over Killer McKloskey. The pre-fight negotiations with McCloskey were so degrading that McCloskeys team took to posting them on the internet to show the planet what a shower of shites Khans people are. Eventually McCloskey gets a proper fee and the "fight" proceeds.

His one big test was Maidana. He nearly failed that and it wasn't too long before he was credited with being an International Superstar for beating a guy that was exposed 10 years ago, namely a by now totally-shot Zab Judah.

Now we got this Peterson shit. :shit:

He was going to have to take it sooner or later, Maidana was his mandatory. No rematch by the way even though it would have been more than justified. And, with respect, I think that Morales vs Maidana might throw new light on things.

Tyson Fury is "well Irish" and I mete out the same treatment to him. Fury moves a lot of tickets and is highly thought of by the compurgators in the press. I've not been shy about meting out the disparagement in this regard.

Paulie? Exposed by a shot-to-pieces Ricky Hatton. Judah? Judah was knocked out 10 years ago mate. Kotelnik? He didn't fucking deserve the Kotelnik fight and thats why he's coddled. He didn't deserve to move up and get that shot after being cow-patted by Prescott.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with your take on the current crop of 140lbers and on Khan's 'luck' in getting a shot at 140. But Khan can only beat what is out there. Kotelink is/was horribly underrated and Khan dominated him. Maidana was a very risky fight but Khan took it and won, close but clear. Bradley has made it clear that he doesn't want to fight Khan. Who else is there?

title shot 2 fights after being leveled by a scrub?

    Coddled.

Fight with Barrera let go for 4 rounds when it should have been stopped immediately after the cut occurred, just so Khan could grab a TD?

    Coddled.

Fight with McCloskey stopped the same as soon as Khan started to get a bit ragged?

    Coddled.

Precisely. I think Feebles thinks that i am saying that Khan has fought nobody. Not at all.

I am saying its all being very carefully managed and set-up.

Khan did well to dance around Kotelnik.

But he never deserved the fight to begin with.
