I'm not a big fan of F1 or Motorsport in general, but I liked Ayrton Senna. He was cool. Has anyone seen this film? I've heard alot of great things about it, and this bird I know said it was an awesome film, despite the fact she hates sport in general. Any Fightbeaters seen this?
I haven't seen it, but watched the race highlights and aftermath last night and it was very tough to watch. R.I.P Senna.
Saw it at the cinema and bought the 2-disc DVD the day it came out. Probably the best documentary Ive seen on anything 'sport'. Makes the dull, sterile, corporate, sponsor-saturated F1 drivers of today look like insects. 'Nada pode me separar do amor de Deus'
I just watched it. A very good film, though it gives a very biased look at things, portraying Alain Prost as the villain while in real world Senna was no saint either
fantastic. dunno about how it correlates with reality, but this film is fantastic. saw it at the cinema; never seen such a powerful emotional reaction in a movie audience.
I liked especially the fact that they had found so much unseen video material, from drivers' meeting, showing Prost running to discuss with the officials etc. The character of Senna was a little bit pale in my opinion. He was always this bit mysterious guy in public and this film more build up the same image than explained something new. Nevertheless, a fascinating film
:l2: Saw it a few days ago, great film. Alain Prost what a character , the most French looking guy I've ever seen. Defiinitely one of the best documentaries I have seen, check it out SND if you haven't already. The song from the end credits is cool too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i-llXXglSo
