Probably Taylor (though he is generally over-rated), I have to admit.

    Taylor-Pacquiao might prove curious, though...

Taylor was just too easy to hit to beat Pac.

It'd be a competitive fight for awhile, but then Manny's firepower takes over and Mel gets a beating.

Probably right, X. Positively blazing battle of handspeed, though. Compubox would have a melt-down...

To answer the topic: Taylor wins a decision.

Taylor beats the crap out of Marquez... if someone wants to tell me how Marquez handles Taylor's speed and his combinations, I'm all ears

Timing...How did Cotto deal with Mosleys speed and power? Timing.
Yes Mosley was older and not comparable in speed at this time, but the speed difference was there.
Pacman throws good combos or I should say flurries yet he times and counters just like Hopkins vs....well anyone.
It can be done thats for sure.
Taylor had all of the attributes to be the best but Jesus was he dumb...he would get countered to the body and too many right hands will eventually wear him down, you don't have to agree with me, but this is definately a way it can go down.

Taylor faster, stronger, hit harder, can take a punch/beating, footwork, combinations...Taylor's aggression will overwhelm Marquez.

Don't bring up Pacquiao.....two different kind of aggression. Pacquiao fights in burst...Might be a bad analogy think of Marquez fights vs. Baby Calf and Katsidis those guys with horrible defense, footwork, handspped and one with pillow fist...gave Marquez tought moment..Taylor with his superior EVERYTHING will tear Marquez apart... Marquez cutesy counter punching will NOT work with a guy like Taylor.

Marquez is not a junior welterweight without drugs... and even with the drugs, he is facing a guy who would be throwing a lot more and a lot faster than what Pac was shoving out there on saturday... Taylor tends to get turned into this idiot brawler in hindsight, but I don;t see any of that when I'm watching him running rings around around Buddy McGirt (surely a terrific counterpuncher in his own right) and hammering him all night... Taylor could fight off the back foot more effectively than I've ever seen Manny do it, frankly... I don't see Marquez being able to make Taylor fight his fight... it's quite the other way around... Marquez is a fraud at the weight, frankly... THis fight bears a far greater resemblance to Floyd/Marquez than it does Pac/Marquez

seriously, Pun, I love ya man, but I think Taylor paints Marquez all night, beats him up
