That said, there is NOTHING doing at 175 right now, so Enzo could make some noise yet.
Was a tad early that stoppage. I just think it's only a matter of time until enzo is splattered again.
If this guy's first name was KIA nobody would be starting a thread about him. You bastards just like typing his first name...
I bet Chad Dawson won't want any of him. In fairness, Lebedev and Haye are light years ahead of guys like Cloud and Dawson.
I think Enzo asks himself that very question after each fight, seeing as he's usually in no man's land, mentally speaking.
Adamek would beat the shit out of Doorson at cruiser or heavy. Doorson is crap, he was lucky that Adamek was weight drained tbh.
No he's not. Dawson has done jack shit since that fight. If you had to ask who has had the more relevant and productive career since they fought, I would wager that fighting the premier heavyweight on the planet has got to count for as much as two losses to the bastard children of Carl Froch and Joe Calzaghe. {Son of Froch and Son of Joe} As it happens, before your come-backing ass got all bent out of shape, all I meant was that the guys who were bashing Enzo up were quite a bit handier than the current "top dogs" at 175. So far as Enzo is concerned, its a question of how much he surrenders thanks to the weight loss, it's not likely to be quite as bad as Byrd as Byrd, the blown up Super Middle, was dropping 40lbs, but Enzo was making 200 with ease and had made 190 prior to that again. Should be interesting while it lasts. I have ZERO faith in his trainer- Nathan Cleverly {a name that must make Reed peal with laughter} has already reached the same conclusion and moved on accordingly. My guess is that Enzo will be maneuvered into a title shot with Nathan sooner rather than later.
Dawson would spark Macranelli in 4 rounds...The guy's chin is done. You touch him and he's going to sleep.
Did you see the fight Chad won with skills, angles and a great jab. It was 11 -1. You don't lose a fight 11-1 because your weight drained you lose a fight 11-1 because the other guy is the better fighter.
The Pascal fight where he lost his unbeaten record and the Hopkins fight where he lost his dignity by allowing himself to be robbed by an old man and his machine. And this thread isn't about Dawson in any case, so let's not make out I started it to bash him. Specifically, I'm not sure that Dawson would be as bad for Haye as say Lebedev or Haye. Haye and Lebedev are on a different level to Dawson.
What about a fight you win??? You can't win a fight if you are weight-drained, can you???? opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:
Vito Antuoferomo D15 Marvin Hagler. Hagler: I lost. Robbie Simms: "You didn't lost Marvin it was a draw". I guess todays standards are just way off those of the early 1980's :: GO RIDDICK BOWE!!!!!
What I am saying is that Dawson didn't "beat" Hopkins. For a dude like Hagler, a TD or a D of any sort was an L. Dawson has impressed in bits and pieces but the loss to Pascal and the failure-to-beat Hopkins do make me wonder if he's just going to go in there and blow out a guy like Enzo. As it happens, what we're seeing here is Enzo being moved into position for a big money fight with that pretender Cleverly.
The Hopkins fight didn't even go two rounds. Tough crowd here. Dawson would spank Enzo. He'd give him the Adamek treatment, only worse.
Enzo is shit. He's a nice guy and I'm happy for him that he's won himself a title and made some good money from the sport with nothing but a good dig and a shit chin, but he's going to get himself killed if he carries on because he's rubbish.
I think Vito felt that way too. However, you would imagine that a guy as good as Hagler would have put away a guy who had only 3 toes on one of his feet and who had cling film for skin.
Let me assure you.....if Dawson takes the same clip from Maccarinelli that he took from Adamek, he's going over and he might not get up too dandy. If Enzo has the same power at 175 that he did at 195, then somebody is copping Z's. None of this is a splurge against Dawson......I just think Dawson is somewhat removed from the ham-fisted, turnip-biceped sorts of guys that Enzo has been struggling with.
