I can't remember who it was, some journalist, writer or broadcaster, who asked Lyle an embarrassing question about why he, Lyle, a convicted felon, did not carry a firearm in the course of his duties at some Casino or other. Lyle pretended to call the journalist over to some part of the Casino on the pretext that he wanted to answer the journalists question in more detail. As he did this, Lyle deliberately lead the journalist straight into an area which was off-limits to everyone bar casino staff, whereupon the journalist was violently verbally abused by the Pit-Boss who screamed obscenities at him and told him to "get the fuck out of here". Lyle apparently howled with laughter throughout the entire scene.
