Buster Mathis Jr was a fraud as a contender. He was ok, but was exposed pretty quickly when he moved up in class. His dad, while not championship level was at least somewhat competitive against the best.

Laila?? really?? that's a major stretch.

Has there been a development on the Monk scene? Tony Shalhoub coming back anytime soon?

Monk is now 14-0, he's moved up to facing guys who have actually won a fight before. Watch out Klitschko's.

I asked Captain Stottlemyre and all he said was "Oh wait... was she a great big fat person?"

I got the hell out of there fast

Time to remind everybody about this exciting bet. Monk Foreman has three months to defeat two top-20 contenders or Reed wins the sig bet against Rainmaker. Can he do it???

I wonder what Rainmaker will call "vulgar language". LOL. He's gonna veto everything.

I dont mind guys fighting bums if they fight very frequently. Quantity is a good sub for quality in my observation, and in fact it's a necessary/desirable sub if a guy's got a thin amateur background.

Foreman is undefeated, therefore he is a quality fighter.

I will not rush to that conclusion since Chavez Jr first seven opponents had similar records: two in their pro debuts, one had 0-14-0 other 5-13-1, etc and the best opponent record among those seven was 5-1-0.

Yes, but do you have any suggestion for Rainmaker's signature?

    (AAAAHHAHHAHHAHA I am soooo clever!)

Damn! I just check Monk's record and his last fight was against a guy he alread KO in 3 rounds in 2010, David Robinson, who helds an 'impressive record' of 26-64-4! How any boxing comission allows a guy with such record to continue active?

    And...YES!!!
MONK IS A FRAUD!!! But in the current state of the heavyweight division he might end up getting a shot at one of the Klitschkos.

    :giggle:Seriously

The division, loaded as it is with fat, gutless bums of limited skill, is not anywhere near bad enough to allow for the intrusion of a fighter THIS terrible. It'd be like Butterbean making the top 10.
