My guess is he'd sooner vacate. That's how little his chances of beating Martinez are.

He will after "negotiations break down" to make it appear as if he wanted the fight.

Hard to believe Suilaman would take this stance unless there's a backup plan for another Mexican.

I thought Jr. was like his "son".

Can he vacate his belt and fight to win one of the other 3 WBC emeritus diamond super belts available?

If Martinez won't fight in Mexico City, take a 10% cut of the purse, undergo bone marrow and liver biopsies the day of the fight to test for steroids, and allow JC Sr to ref the fight he's clearly afraid of Chavez Jr.

If you believe anything else you're a shameless Martinez nuthugger.

talk about bullshit! Suleiman created this mess. he gave Jr. and Canelo belts they didn't deserve.

Now he wants to take it back as if he always goes by the book. :notallthere:

PR wise I wonder how Top Rank will spin vacating the tittle. It's a straight up coward move.

Even if they bullshit about "negotiations breaking down" I'm sure Martinez will make alot of noise to clear shit up.

is martinez interim champ for chavez jr. belt? if not then top rank can just let it go to purse bids and i doubt martinez wants a 25% share.

I'm sure this is a P.R. stunt on the part of Sulaman - some attempt at portraying himself and his organization as something other than a farce. We all know better of course.
