    It was pretty much even through the first 11 or so then Hagler pulled away. Competitive, definitely not controversial. If Duran hadn't hurt himself it might have been.

    where did Duran injure himself? He threw rights consistently the whole fight right up until the end

    Furthermore, whenever Hagler stopped boxing and started brawling, he pushed Duran around

    Well I thought Hagler won 8 to 7, so there's really only a round difference.

    It was a close fight, I agree with 2 of the judges.

    Ballooning up to 200 pounds and being able to fight at a lighter weight is a very different thing. 147 was as high as Chavez would have been effective and still not HOF effective. 130-140 was the best Chavez you were going to get. To match him against a 160 pounder, when his heaviest weight was 154, late in his career as a "Journeyman" is not fair.

    I'm being pretty kind with 9-6, 10-5 wouldn't bother me a bit

    Yep. Duran did better than expected, but it was a clear win for Hagler.
