Finally Roy Jones Jr retires

the idea that he doesn't have it anymore and is planning to win another world title before he rides off into the sunset! Yup just read the interview Roy wants another title before he retires

He and Holyfield can go on that mythical quest together.

 

THey should create a DOM world title . DELUSIONAL OLD MAN but not tell Roid Holyfield TOney etc what the acronym stands for and let them fight for it and call themselvs world champions retire and fuck off.

 

I disliked Roy intensely as a fighter, hated his style, hated the way he gloated over the fallen bodies of some truly awful fighters, hated him completely... but this is SAD, what has happened to him, it is depressing. I worry the guy may have suffered irreparable damage in the last few years that is only beginning to rear its head

Roy did annoy me too, all this "I'm a razzle-dazzle guy and do things my way"....he's abusing himself worse now than any promoter every could have then.

 

Yup, I went from wanting him to get knocked out to cringing every time somebody throws a punch at him... And he sounds awful in that clip

 

Everything he said he wouldn't do he is now doing...sad shit here

 

Roy was never cut out for punishment, physically. He was designed for administering it. Fast hands, fast feet. His neck and waistline are slim. He's built for speed, not for absorbing punishment. His own father vetoed the Douglas fight, on the grounds that Douglas, literally, had "too much mass".

Once Roy slowed down enough to start getting hit, the damage totted up pretty quickly.

He's got a slim skull, you can tell by looking at his face and head, he doesn't have a cranium like Eubank or Holyfield, he's simply not built for taking it.
