    um, what?

    what difference does it make?

Ted Bundy was a polite, clean cut guy, I am sure he made a nice impression on many people he did not kill and then perform necrophilia on... I doubt any of them were saying when they found out later on about him "well, yeah, he's killed 80 women, but he was a swell bloke to me"

Neil seems to have the point of view of a 3 year old, that the best way of deciding how "swell" someone is, is by meeting them for 30 seconds.

margarito is now being compared to serial killers. i figured wife beaters, alcoholics and junkies was a bit of a stretch but damn he is getting more evil by the minute

30 seconds is three times as long as it would take for you to dispose of any forum member here, killer.

Hahaha, yeah by all accounts Bundy seemed like a pretty "swell bloke" in person too, which is at happens is a notoriously common trate in psychopaths.

no, the point wasn't that Margarito is a serial killer... the point is that lots of people can seem like "swell blokes" when you don't know them at all save for a minute of time spent with them and generally if somebody you meet is in actuality a scumbag, you would typically feel something along the lines of "wow, I never would have guessed" and maybe be freaked out by it

I've known gangbangers and outlaw bikers that seem perfectly "swell" but they are really pieces of shit who would cut your mother to pieces for a dollar

you really should hang out in better circles. this kid from my high school ended up raping a dozen women. i knew him from the basketball team and always considered him a piece of shit.

ive been around crapetillo about as much as margarito and could tell you he's a total piece of shit as well. been saying it for years prior to the mosley bout.

but Margarito is still a-ok in your book?

The guy was going to commit (I won;t even mention that he probably did it at other times, we KNOW He was going to do it for the Mosley fight) one of the ultimate atrocities that one can in this sport and you're okay with it? You don't think that is something a shitty person would do?

You try not loving Margarito after he flashes his pearly whites in your direction. Neil's knees wobbled more than Zab Judah that night.

ok, again, "fan" and "he's a swell bloke" are not the same thing

I'm a "fan" of Pernell Whitaker the fighter... Pernell Whitaker the person is a miserable, surly little bastard... see how that works?

Maybe you should give Neil the definition of "Swell" and "bloke" For some reason, I think he thinks it means something else.

you asked me why i like him. and first and foremost it is because he has been in plenty of fights i enjoyed watching. i said he's a swell bloke because that was the case whenever i was around the guy and i also knew it would infuriate you chaps.

    Yeah, it seems pretty self-explanatory

"Carlos Monzon is one of my favorite fighters" would seem to me to be an entirely different statement than "Carlos Monzon was a great guy!" you could certainly have one without the other

In my personal case, "Wladimir Klitschko is a chinless, pink princess who rides a unicorn in a fairly-land" in no way detracts from the other fundamental truth "Wladimir Klitschko seems like a decent fellow"
