T3 was a big drop-off, but the first two movies were SO good, I think it was still decent-enough as entertainment.

The fourth movie was a true shocker. Abysmal, IMO. Bale didnt try, and how in God's name Worthington continues to get work escapes me. He cant act, isnt good-looking and has ZERO personality.

Final Destination turned to steaming hot SHIT after the 3rd one.

The first two were REALLY good.

Yeah, I agree with you there. The Final Destination was by FAR the worst of the franchise.

I think the problem with the last two has been they've added a more goofy, comedic angle to them. The last two Final Destinations have been dark comedies (lame ones at that).

The first two were alot more morbid, with no corny comedy.

I think the 2nd one was the best.

The final destination movie has turned into the best ways to kill someone. And it never disappoints.

    Godfather 3 was awful.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Final Destination frachise as well as the "Saw" Franchise.

Terminator 2 was a better standalone film than T3. No doubt. T3, however, was a more satisfying sequel to the first Terminator film than T2 was.

As a sequel...T2 SUCKED!!! As an action film by itself it was EXCELLENT.

Godfather III was awful compared to the other Godfather movies, but it's not awful compared to other movies. It's a terrific movie.

I enjoyed all 6 Star Wars movies. Yes, even Episode I with Jar Jar Binks, though not because of Jar Jar. Darth Maul and the pod racing made up for all of the negatives.

What about the shitfest that was Terminator 4 or did you block that stinker from your memory?

I liked Rocky 5. It's probably the most 'human' one since Rocky 1.

Must be crazy. T4 was awful. It was completely the wrong story to tell and was edited like shit.

    My thoughts here: http://www.fightbeat.com/forums/showpost.php?p=808926&postcount=2063

What other story would you have told? There isnt really much you can go on. You have to focus on the war. Also, and this made the movie better for me, this was suppose to be 1 of 3 movies being made with a full story to tell. So i looked forward to where it was going to go in the next 2 movies, which looks to be being made by Justin Lin.

We'll have to disagree. Tell me, what changed in the Terminator Universe as a result of this story? As for focusing on the war, did it really? Did you get to see the start of the war and Connor beginning to lead the resistance? No. Did you see millions being killed by the skeleton machines? No. Did you see the first attempts at Terminators trying to infiltrate with plastic skin? No. Did you see John sending Reese back in time? No.

Did you learn anything about John Connor, the most important character in the entire overarching story? The answer is no.

Seriously GF, what was the point of the Marcus character? Now if they'd gone with the supposed 'original' ending of Marcus having to pretend to be John after John's death, then it would have made sense. Saying that it's the beginning of a trilogy is a cop out. It should be able to stand as a self contained story and this one doesn't in my opinion. This was the story of Marcus: a character that was not required in anyway to further the franchise.

This was billed a trilogy long before it was released. From what i read, this movie was the middle. The next movie was going to actually be set before this movie and the third was going to be set after.

I never once thought Marcus was dead. Marcus was healed very easily and quickly. I always thought they just switched hearts and Marcus healed Connor's heart. But that wouldn't be revealed until much later. I always thought Marcus was going to be the one that Connor chose to go with Reese, but didnt make it somehow.

Im not like you. I like to look at the full picture. We dont know exactly what Marcus' character would have been in the future.

Dude, unless there's something else out on the net somewhere, Marcus is dead. His only purpose appears to be to service John Connor with a new heart.

EDIT- I'd be VERY surprised if they made the next film a prequel to Salvation. Hollywood has a history of feeling their audience is stupid and jumping back to a point before the last movie doesn't sound feasible.

The next film wont be a prequal. They are going in a whole new direction now with a new director. Im talking about the initial plans when the movie came out.

As for Marcus being dead, he may be. However, it wouldnt suprise me if he showed up again. Again, he has super healing capabilities. He could have healed Connor's heart and kept it has his own.

But hey if he is dead he played a big part of the history of the world. He saved the life of leader of the free world. Without him there would be no more connor and we would lose the war to the machines.

Honestly...all of the sequels to the original terminator were disappointing if you were looking for a genuine prequel/sequel to that original film.

Bringing back Arnold is what spoiled the franchise actually. of course I understand why they did bring him back...because obviously he was the cash cow, but bringing him back meant they had to compromise the history that the original aluded to.

Essentially they made the same mistake that George Lucas did with Star wars...in that they were looking for revenue instead of keepign the integrity of the original story. Fuck'em.
