http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/early-results-from-pasig-city-philippines-104035 :: Somebody got carried away. Fuck Kon.
If this shit happened in German, you douches would be crying in your milk. Objectivity. Look it up. The fight was close.
Either way, Khan is a hideously flawed fighter who in a better era would have been toast Kostya Tsyzu would have annihlated him with straight rights, Whitaker would have countered him to death, Chavez would have slowly beaten him bruised and bloody, Pryor would have run him over, Cervantes would have blasted him with rights... He'd have trouble with the Ray Oliveiras of the world... p4p superstar
Without bullshit deductions, this was a close fight that could have gone either way. I don't like the fact that the difference on the official cards were the deductions. Khan has better punch resistance than expected, but he's flawed as fuck and not all that skilled for a world class fighter. He's fast, and the skills of speedy guys tend to get overrated.
More warnings should have been given IMO, but the points weren't that unjustified. Khan was doing a lot of holding and shoving, basically because he can't fight inside.
As me and cdogg said earlier, a lot of people simply confuse skills and speed. People see a fast, flashy combo with punches of nice form and think that's skill. It's not skill, it's speed/talent, Khan has very little skill at world level, he just throws lots of mindless, fast punches and combos.
I'd feel the same way... the fight was a close, either way fight, with or without the point deductions... one judge had it 8-4... that's outrageous
Nah, Arriza just got the dosages wrong. Floyd is the Original Black Man, but Peterson is beatable, mark my words. Peterson is definitely beatable. I know this cos he was already beaten.....by......some small bald fella.
Khan isn't blameless. If he is half as good as billed he blows Peterson out of the water. Peterson is ass himself.
Ummm..... based on tonight, Khan would be a clear underdog against Berto. Khan groupies keep waiting for this guy to "improve". But this is his prime right now.
and he frequently leaves himself crazily off balance, Peterson just isn't a skilled enough counterpuncher to take advantage of it... his inside game is to put his mitts up and cover up... all of this run-around rat-a-tat bullshit is what the ams is all about now, and tonight a guy who is far from anything special as an aggressor was able to touch the guy up all night, beginning to end... luckily for Khan, there's basically no good pro pressure fighters around right now except for Pacquaio
No, that had nothing to do with luck. They planned that in advance. Its called insanely motherfucking good management. Too bad it backfired.
