He is a cheat and a thief. If the rules of boxing were enforced, he would have zero victories. I cannot rate a thief. Froch dominated Abraham much more impressively than the retarded octopus.

    Ex-fucking-actly.

Obviously I've been a prime Khan "hater" or rather truth see-er as long as you have, and even I recognised some significant improvements since joining Roach after just a couple of fights.

But yeah, he is simply a boxbot, there's only so much you can teach him, he'll never be a skilled boxer, or skilled attacking fighter.

PS lmao at your sig

And Ward clearly beat a guy Froch lost to.

Make any rematches with those other guys and Ward beats them again.

Not if the rules are enforced. He can't beat any of these guys boxing, in my opinion. I am only speculating. Without fouling, I think he is ordinary. The Khan fight last night shows how enforcing rules can change a fight.

    Basically yeah.

I don't LIKE Ward at all, but like you I've been a Ward "believer" for a while. He can fight, there's no question.

But to play Devil's Advocate with Ike's point, then yes, we don't know exactly what he's capable of with a ref as awesome and dilligent as Joe "Fight Him" Cooper.

Ward is the dirtiest fighter in boxing, holding and hitting, headbutting etc is a pretty massive part of his game.

He's much dirtier than Bernard and Floyd. Bernard for example is just incredibly crafty and a great infighter, with a fair bit of clinching, but he doesn't come close to the, well, cheating that comprises much of Ward's bouts.

guys like Floyd are born into this sport.. i don't care who his trainer is.. he has it in his blood..

i don't know that Kahn does..

like my daddy used to say, "pouring syrup on shit.. don't make it pancakes"

I see what you're saying, but at the same time I think Chavez Jr and Quillin are both miles better since hooking up with Roach. I don't disagree that he's overrated as a trainer these days, but still leaves his mark.

Roach is good. Pretty ordinary in a historical context but he's probably the best show in town, these days.

Agreed, not sure why he gets so much hate tbh.

He's a good trainer, he moulded Manny very well, from the raw talented beast he was pre Ledwaba, to a far more polished offensive fighter, with better defense, better jab, better arsenal etc. The only thing that lacks, which is a big deal, is infighting.

Even scrubs like Khan and Chavez JR he's managed to get marked improvements from.

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that he's not above talking shit w/ the best of them, yet always manages to get a free pass due to his condition. Furthermore that it's practically taboo for anyone to second guess him, much less talk shit in return.
