The last sentence is 100% true for Khan. He doesn't look like the sort of guy who can sleep-walk through a fight and drop in a few heavy shots, do a bit of guerrilla fighting and win a decision, now does he?

 I have ALWAYS said that Khan-Hatton would have been a complete mismatch. Khan has absolutely NOTHING for Hatton. Nothing.

Peterson landed some nice uppercuts last night.

Last night's fight only supports my feeling that this is the worst era of boxing since the old wrestle-and-throw-one-haymaker days of Nat Fleischer

113-112 for Peterson I scored it. Khan ran too much and his punches as usual lacked power. Peterson landed the cleaner and more damaging powershots. Amir is lucky he wasn't in there with Rios otherwise he would have ended up in the hospital.

Khan probably wins a rematch since they'll do it in Britain and basically look at every turn to stack the deck against Peterson.

The rematch won't be over here. Vegas is probably the best bet.

    I scored it 114-112, peterson.

    agREED...the ring will be HUGE.

I wasn't as offended by the push offs by Khan...it was extremely clear he was doing it...had been warned about it.

My favorite bit was the deduction in round 12 to see the faces of Hopkins, De La Hoya, David Haye and Eric Gomez. All were outraged. Fuck all those putos.

McGuigan was way out of line. Way out of line.

Nelson told the truth and Collins was half-on-the-money when he said that Khan can use this to his advantage.

Oscar's reminds me of Eli Sunday

OSCAR: "I'm offering you to drill on one of the great undeveloped fields of Little Bolton, I'm offering you the Khan tract.....Lamont, I won't bore you, I...."

    Lamont: "That's only fair"

Oscar: "I am a cross-dresser, my talent is a superstition, Joe Cortez is in my pocket...."

    Lamont:
    "Say it louder"

Oscar: "I AM A cross-dresser, my talent is a superstition, Bernard is a thief"

Lamont: "Those areas have been drilled. I'm off to fight Timmy.

My statement is correct, even in retrospect.

Pete lost to Victor Ortiz, and got dominated by Bradley. He is not good at world level.

It just goes to show that even I, a Khan hater, overrated him. He's even worse than I thought. That and the fact that it was the most motivated Peterdude ever, who fought for all 12 rounds.

Khan is the Turd Reveleation, he's the Profit, He's the Slow One. Who was taking care of Saint Bernard when Khan was suckling on Shaefers teat? One of Gratersburgs sows? That rematch has been had, its gone, there's nothing you can do about it!!!!

maybe, it's possible he "believes" now, that sort of thing

But he's also a guy who has failed to let the hands go, I could see him freezing up in Britain in front of all those fans, and just not doing enough. I don't trust the guy to give it everything he has like last night

If the rematch is in the UK, its hard to see Peterson winning. He'd have to either stop Khan, or beat the shit outta him virtually every round to win. I dont think he'd do either.

Peterson gave it his all yesterday, and if he does the same again, I could see him winning.

But did you see him against Ortiz? And Bradley?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a career best effort, like Ortiz against Berto, and he couldn't reproduce the same effort.

Khan is very predictable, you know what to expect, I'm not sure who I would pick in a rematch.

Another thing, this myth of Peterson being the "home-town" fighter...please.....Peterson was brought in to lose, Khan had the backing of Golden Boy. I guess Oscar skimped on referee money this time, or maybe Joe's Court Says was not available.

Yup. Which is exactly why I'm picking Berto in the rematch. And why I'd pick Khan in a Peterson rematch.

Peterson is somewhat of a head case.

I could very well see him in awe of the big stage in enemy territory if it was in Britain or even Vegas where the deck will be stacked in favor of the superstar.

If he was to put in the same effort he did tonight, he could win another close one. Its a matter of if he can.

With a 'normal' ref and a bigger ring, I'd expect Khan to win.

Khan should be favored in a rematch. It'll likely be in Britain. British referee, British crowd, a big ring.

I pick Khan because I am expecting a similar fight to last night, only Khan will be able to get away with everything and the referee will look to penalize Peterson for even trying to get inside.

If its in Britain the referee will be "Don't fight him Don't fight him"

Could be time for a Vicky Mann comeback.

    I can't believe what I am hearing here....I can't.

Max Kellerman "The points seemed to come off suddenly and unfairly"

    Yeah, ok shithead.

Lamprey: "Khan only has one previous loss to "Hard punching" Breidis Prescott,....a loss which prompted him to come here to America and seek the tutelage of Freddie Roach"....:scratcher:

I must have imagined the 4 fights he had in England after that, 2 of which were title fights.

But he goes on...."Will Amir Khan regret his brazen choice to come here and fight Lamont Peterson on his home turf when as the headliner with the bargaining power he didn't really have to do that"

Uhhhh.....it's as the "headliner with the bargaining power" that he is able to go to peoples home-towns and try to get away with shit.

That is not a myth. I expected it to be the same as you're portraying it going in, but the crowd at least was almost entirely pro-Peterson. I thought he couldn't draw flies to shit, but he actually has a relatively sizable following in DC.

Ruelas could crack like a MF, he was favored over DLH in their fight. At LW he'd have a very good chance of stopping Khan.
