The lad is 25 now. I mean....Mick Jelley was an overrated crap trainer, Oliver Harrison wasn't good enough, so they got in Rubio, and he wasn't good enough, and now its Frederick Roach, and now he's not good enough. Maybe Khan is not good enough. Khan has ALWAYS lost on the inside. He lost on the inside to Michael Gomez, and no, Gomez was not from Mexico. That was years ago. He's not changed. At 25, I don't know if he can change. Maybe he can change to stop guys getting on the inside.
Thats what Roache has tried to do with him. Ask him to stick loads of fast, pitty-patty punches in someone's face hoping they never get the chance to get inside. He'll NEVER be able to fight inside, though. Ever. MTF
Another thing, it's politically incorrect, but....if I just took a pasting and came back to my corner and was met by a guy going "inng....unnn...nen-nen-nen."... I'd probably get very quickly pissed off. Another thing about Roach is that he seems to get involved in the out-of-ring things too easily. Too busy questioning things, insulting other fighters, etc.
Unleash your inner fiend Hut, pretend you're 18 again, in keeping with most of Jihad Joe's posts. Usually I wouldn't stoop that low, but Jihad Joe is a total chode. His posts remind me of my posts on secondsout when I was 17/18. The guy is a humourless retard, and probably the second biggest nuthugger on the site after Sly.
Speaking of fighting on the inside,.. it's a good thing nobody either knows nor cares to comment on the awesome european swindle of Wlad's next fight,.. it's been delayed, so it's not just a keep buisy fight,.. he really does believe it's an event.:tick:
Wlad ducked the hangmans noose last July, he probably passed bigger stones last week than Amir Khan's shown his entire career. Sure, Wlad is shit on the inside, but he's nowhere near as bad as Khan. Khan can't even defend on the inside.
Well, I must say, this was probably the best referee I have seen in a long time,.. a great intense performance, no holding, no elbows, no pushing,.. beautiful work. A few promoters will take note of him however,.. for one,.. he will never be allowed anywhere near a Hopkins fight,.. nor a Wlad fight,.. nor a Mayweather fight either. Khan was always going to be ok though,.. Ariza does that,.. this miraculous, unbelieveable conditioning coach, tends to make his fighters twice as fast, and gets them throwing 4000 punches a fight. As soon as I was reminded of Roach, Ariza, Hopkins and Oscar in Khans corner,.. yep, I also caught your fever I must admit, I wanted him killed.
"Hey Joe!!! I heard you shot your man Khan down, den-den-den-den-den.....Yeah, I shot him down, I heard he was fooling around in the clinches with another man, den-den-den-den-den" Not the only Jimmy "none of your tricks" Hendrix vibe either my man. Joe "Purple Gloves Haze" Cooper is being treated in the tabloids like he was some sort of a useless, incompetent bastard at best, at worst as if he was on the make. No word of Joes Court Says, of course. He's slipped right under the radar. Joe Cooper can referee Vitali vs Chisora. Yes he can-ah. yes he can-ah.
Peterson didn't win the fight though honestly, I mean,.. Khan's astronomical workrate should have delivered him the decision,.. but as you say,.. when you factor in the elements of the crew behind him, especially the world's greatest ever conditioning coach,...well, seeing them fucked up is the RIGHT thing to do.
More refs should follow that man's example. I don't understand why they don't. If every referee simply enforced the rules the way that one did, we'd have a far better sport on our hands. And it's not impossible we'd have a vastly different collection of top guys. Think about that one? Where would Hopkins be without his holding? Or Wlad for that matter? The D.C. ref's willingness to do his job on saturday makes for a good opportunity for a public debate on whether the rules of boxing should go on largely unenforced, or whether referees should take a cue from D.C. and begin conducting the sport the way it's meant to be conducted, even if that means possibly shutting the door on established fighters like Hopkins and Wlad. There should be more fighters out there like Cotto who know how to defend without holding.
Check him out during the Seth Mitchell interview. He looks high as shit, like he can't even believe how high he is.
No Homo, but he used to be an incredibly good looking guy. At his point, he's just an incredibly rich liver-transplant-needing-in-10-years guy.
I thought he'd gotten sober. It's possible he's still sober, and just getting fat at this point, isn't it? He did look awfully giddy though during the Seth Mitchell interview - a level of giddiness not really appropriate for the occasion which was simply that he'd managed to stop a guy who hadn't done shit with his career and was 37 years old and who hadn't fought in over a year.
Kudos to Jonathan Nelson. Barry McGuigan- you wee potato-head. Collins were alright. <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8XTZWEvKuts?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8XTZWEvKuts?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>
Honestly no, that's not normal fat looking, that's the weird, puffy looking bloatedness that only comes from drinking too much, you can spot it a mile away.
Yup, that was the first thing I thought. The fat takes on a kinda feminizing pattern with heavy alkies sometimes, what with the estrogen. He looks like a 50 year old women. And a potato.
Exactly. You live in a place where 99% of the population looks a little like that. Just for the record, Oscar is one creepy dude.I am always creeped out by man that worship their mothers. It is some Norman Bates shit. At least Osar traded knives for dildos.
