I'm better

 

Maradona was better. Pele looked good playing in an era when the only 6 packs defenders had were in the dressing room after the game. Maradona beat better defenses and exhibited better skills despite playing in a broadly inferior team.

The Sweden team that they beat 5-2 would be destroyed by most modern teams of any worthwhile standing.

Pele was a good athlete and a better footballer in an era of unfit slobs and hack-merchants.

 

Maradpna was probably better.
