Who here actually watched the fight besides Jake and (I hope) Jesus?

I had Lemieux winning 6 of the first 9 rounds and I haven't finished it, yet. Did Alcine win the end of the fight? The tv commentator had Lemieux winning the first 3 rounds and then just started throwing the rounds at Alcine. I thought Lemieux won the 5th and 6th.

Lemieux is an excellent prospect, imo. One of the best in boxing. His problems are fixable and he's young enough to fix them. He's still too stupid with his aggression, but he was outworking Alcine even when he had to do more work to get a little more done.

If you actually saw the fight and thought he sucked, fine. I think he would beat Kirkland up right now. I think he has the potential to do a lot more than that. Sometimes losses ruin guys, though.

edit: I did read on fightnews that Alcine swept the final four rounds so I suppose I should watch the end of the fight.

while I don't think he'll ever amount to much, it's ridiculous to dismiss lemieux completely. He's only 22 and got a lot of potential too. But his skills level ( and professionnalism ) is very low and he needs to work on them a lot. He only rush and flurry his opponent's, no setup at all.

    Jesus fucking christ

People rag on Kirkland but he'd batter LeMoo all over the place.

And no I haven't seen the fight, but I did see him get beaten up Vs Rubio. He didn't look like a fighter that belonged at this level, he was outclassed, and didn't have the firepower to compensate.

I would love to see Lemeiux and Kirkland fight. I'll gladly take Lemieux in that fight.

He ran out of gas vs Rubio. That's not getting outclassed. He was winning the fight until he got tired.

    LeMoo? geesh.

I'd wager anything you want that Kirkland decapitates him if thins fight happens recently ( wich it won't).

And he wasn't that gassed against Rubio, that's an excuse he and his fans used, but it doesn't reflect reality
Everything is overated about Lemieux, even his power

Kirkland vs. anyone who even hits kinda hard is always going to make for a fun first round though
