Martinez will have his work cut out versus a guy who weighs 180 by fight-night.

Still he should slap this talentless bag of shit around.

It's going to be fun watching Jr get slapped around.

It's funny. I get the feeling Sulaiman thinks he's establishing himself as a fair and objective arbiter with his rhetoric about Chavez Jr. But in fact, it just serves to expose how personally involved he is in his decisions regarding who has to fight whom and when.

It's as if he's saying, "well, normally I'd do Chavez Jr. a favor and not make him fight Martinez. But not this time."

Martinez would like, bash him or something.

To echo Irish's statement though - Chavez JR is a fucking big middleweight, he looks like a good sized super middle. I'm surprised he can make 160, especially considering he apparently doesn't train mega hard etc. I wonder if he has special scales.

Chavez Jr is huge. Like mentioned he comes in 175+ fight night. Because of that size I dont think we will see him against Cotto or Alvarez.

How should I know? All I'm saying is, in his effort to appear unswayed by personal devotions, Sulaiman has actually unveiled just how personal his participation is as the head of the WBC. Can there be any reasonable expectation that anything he does is objective?

One theory, which is pure speculation, is that HBO is pressuring the WBC to force fight.

Sanctioning bodies don't cave to pressure unless it's in the form of bribery. Promoters have to apply the necessary "pressure".

Either way, his stock is going down. He's either getting beat up or looking like a giant vagina for ducking Martinez.

That's why "negotiations will break down". It will be Martinez that turned down the fight.

Arum could care less about what Suleiman says. He'll put Jr. with Rubio before Martinez.

Suleiman will just give Martinez another gold or platinum WBC belt to keep him happy.

Funny how Jr. and Roach are confident in beating Martinez but not Arum

It's just like the Floyd/Pacquiao fight everyone seems on board except Arum.

That guy is seriously killing alot of interesting fights.

Boxingscene reports that Rubio vs Chavez Jr is a done deal. I have Rubio via KO.

Rubio is a solid opponent, but Jr. should have faced him a few years ago if he wanted to be taken seriously.

    I'm picking Rubio.

The size difference is going to be big, Rubio looks like a 154 pounder, and Jr looks like a 168 pounder, but Rubio is better.

This will be Jr's true test. I have Rubio via stoppage. I will be shocked if Jr beats him.
