Calzaghe never kicked in the head of any fighter within a light year of Ward... I don;t even think Ward is all that, but he's better than every Calzaghe opponent

Neither Klitschko is an ATG and their argument wouldn't be any stronger if their style was hug-hit-run-butt-hit or if their biggest win was Carl Froch

as much as I think bute is an onverated fighter, I think he has a chance against Ward cause of his speed.

I'd love to see bute vs froch first

Yes, you are right, Joe was lucky he fought during the era of Jeff Lacy and Chris Eubank, and then retired to avoid Ward. You are correct. I am off to read some Guns'n'Ammo and fly my flag.

Nah my Romanian stream seems insistent that their is a world outside of pastel-shirted finger-wagging and Babyliss trimmed beards in Atlantic City.

I dunno what you lot are watching at times. I thought 7-5 was about right. There is NO WAY Froch won, no way at all, but I thought he near swept 9-12. Froch's problem is that fights only last 12 rounds. He's like a threshing machine- in the 15 round ear, he might well pull that out. Ward was impressive, but the UK commentary was a disgrace.

In Canada, Ward makes it as far as the 10th where he is DQ'd

In America, he probably wins a close decision or gets the DQ.

    Froch is tough but mechanical.

Bute is prime Roy Jones by comparison but nowhere near as tough.

Its an interesting set-off. You might not need to be so tough to beat Ward if you have the skills.

Truthfully, Glen Johnson of 7 years ago might have beaten this Ward.

Hmmm,.. alright,.. well,.. give it a day or two,..wait until the shock wears off, and then watch him flail like a decapitated snake to the press, he's a very sore and bitter man.

no, he has more belts and crappier big name opponents

but at least you could make an argument for Ward

saying Tarver is better than Starling is preposterous

Ward is a complete fighter. Not the most eye catching guy. But he's really smart in there and he can do it all. He just lacks power.

That being said, IMO Ward is the number 3 pound for pound fighter in the game today, behind Mayweather and Pacquiao, and yes ahead of Martinez and Donaire.

    Also respect to Carl Froch.

Put up a good effort and he was classy in defeat unlike that cocky pussy Khan.

Yep. It was obvious that Ward didn't even have the energy to jerk one out on to Kellerman's fawning mandible, Max would have been on it two fisted to have any impact. That's how tired he was at the end.

Froch, in the 15 round year, stops him. Ward was in full-retreat by the end.

Tell me about the UK commentary son?

Ward beats Bute BTW. He would figure him out and Ward's speed would throw off Bute's game.

    Ward outboxes him clearly IMO.

Its debatable if Bute would beat Froch in all honesty.
