Actually, I'm not surprised. Brit judges/commentators are often like that. The SKY team had Froch even in the 11th round tonight... MTF :wack:
What incredible take? Ward won clearly, but he's a dirty bastard and faded late when Froch fouled back and refused to go away. I think thats a fair assessment.
Froch showed a lot more class than the complainers in this thread during his interview. Nice performance from both fighters. Ward looked solid in there.
You sure do overrate the hell outta Starling. I remember you saying he was on the same level as McCallum. LMFAO!
Ahh, yes,.. that's what we said initially in Denmark,.. then the hockey mask of sanity split,..like the thing in Friday the 13th,.. Give it two days..
A total disgrace, even by his low standards. There was one round, I can' remember which, when Froch was ripping off an effective dombination on the ropes and Watt declares "Froch just isn't good enough at this moment". MTF :shit:
Ward looked solid until he got tired. He got tired because he couldn't get Froch out of there. Both guys looked good in parts- Ward early and mid, Froch late. Froch, in my opinion, should have risked a DQ or deduction and started to foul back much sooner than he did.
and apparently there were 9 other light heavyweights who coulda KOd jones jr the night tarver fought him in the rematch.
It was 'at this moment', as Froch was teeing off and landing shots, which made his statement ridiculous. He even scored the 11th even, which was scandalous. MTF
Yep, Ward ran outta gas halfway though the 11th. Froch used plenty of dirty tactics throughout the fight. He didn't have much to say about that after the bout, classy guy.
It's almost like he wants fighters to fail so he can use his ' he just isn't good enough" catchphrase. Froch should slap his face.
I watched the Sky feed. Ward hit him plenty in the 11th, but I scored the round for Froch. Fair call for the most part on Sky.
He was good enough but not for long enough or consistently enough. He was by no means overmatched and I think if he had made certain adjustments sooner he could have been a lot closer. Ward makes mistakes, elementary mistakes, and can be timed on the way in. Froch was too mechanical, that's not debatable, but once Ward started the dirty shit, Froch should have immediately replied in kind, too often he looked to Smoger instead of exacting his own punishment. No arguments as to Frochs lack of fluidity or Wards agility and skills, none.
I never said that ever Who's better Carl Froch or Lloyd Honeyghan? Who had the more dominating victory, Ward or Marlon? You tell me You rate Antonio "I knocked out a facsimile of Roy Jones" Tarver over Starling? How many one-sided ass-whoopings did Starling receive in his career? Zero Tarver suffered two in his prime years Anyone who thinks Tarver>Starling is nuts... one guy was a defensive wizard with great countering skills, the other was a guy with one shot in his whole arsenal that he just tried to land all night long
Ward did fuck all in the 11th mate. The trick to scoring that round is to compare body language. Froch didn't look at all bothered by that stage, in stark contrast to the tight, hunched look he had earlier. Froch knew the worst had passed and that Ward was tired.
Ward proved tonight that he's truly on another level from the other "young" guys. Bradley, Berto, Con, Peterson, Ortiz...... none of those guys are on Ward's level.
