I never thought Froch could beat Bute. I know Bute is hated, but consider he shut out Johnson, whereas old man Glenn won about 4 rounds off Froch. I see Bute's uppercut doing ALOT of damage to Froch. Bute is Ward's biggest challenge.
Bute has become well underrated I believe,.. I think Froch, being the 5th best Supermiddleweight, oughta avoid him.

Dirrell beat Froch on the cards. He probably beat him by 2 clear rounds. I felt he needed a stoppage in the final round. Nice fight, went pretty much as I thought but I was surprised to see Ward push Froch back so comfortably. He looked really good tonight I must say.
Froch had nothing at point-blank range, that's where he should have fouled. He committed the mistake of trying to fight at close range when he was getting smothered and worked over with the elbow and forearm. Ward did a lot of clean effective work, when Froch tried to tie him up, he negated his own minimal offense and also allowed himself to get jobbed with the rough stuff. As soon as he fouled back, Ward faded and Froch came into it a lot more, but too late. In short, Froch, for all of his technical limitations, was as much hindered by poor tactics as he was by poor skills. Technically, Froch also made the mistake of trying to jab, and double-jab. Froch has a mean lead-right-left-hook combo, I'd prefer to see him try that in the rematch. I think it was the 10th round where Ward charged forward, and Froch stepped back and made him miss while getting a nice brace of uppercuts off. Ward flicked and fell short, off balance, a lot in that fight. If Froch can work on counter punching, feinting, drawing Ward in, forcing him to make the move, then step back and counter, try a few rabbit shots when they clinch, he can beat Ward. Get Ward to come to England, beat it into Wards head in the pressers that he's got to win every second of every round to get the W in England, force him to lead, which is is most ineffective at, then foul fuck out of him. Job is oxo. Thats why a rematch in England would be a much closer affair, but I do not see Ward leave America, ever. Froch must match Bute and beat him to try and force that to happen.
Ward has zero legitimate wins until tonight. He beat Froch with skills although, I thought 115-113 was acCURATE. tHE SHOWTIME CREW was biased. Froch landed heavy body shots. Still, Ward won. He , for once , didn't cheat. He won with faster shots. If Ward fought like this always, I'd be a fan. He won close, but clear and he did it legally, for once and only time.
Ward tonight proved the differance between a guy like himself who has REAL skills, and a guy with pseudo skills like trash-Khan.
He showed some real toughness. I hated the guy, but he won a close fight, but he proved more in 36 minutes than all his other wins combined.
