SKY - "Ryan Giggs comes on and the Rangers fans are booing him. Unbelieveable. They were even booing Wayne Rooney, they should be applauding these players for the pleasure they give us".

Can you fucking believe this shit????

We were outclassed today to be honest. They were lethal on the counter and kept possession so well. We had one great chance to score. I was scratching my head after Dj's miss.

Taarabt was quality when he came on.

Nothing new there. The desire for Ferguson to succeed is sickening, its as if every hope of a wasted system was being funneled into the bowels of a decrepit old tyrant in the hope that he could crap out some cannon-balls for them to fire across the bows of the infidel Mancini's of this earth.

Well, the first we've seen of Taarabt in a long while and he was OUTSTANDING. We could have got something out of the game if he'd started or come on earlier. Looked far more disciplined and wasn't trying to do too much, United couldn't really deal with him when he came on. He set up DJ Campbell with a beautiful piece of ingenuity but Campbell somehow conspired to hit the ball over a gaping net from two yards

We really missed Derry, you could see in the mistakes that were made in the build up to both goals would have been cleared up by the silver fox. ESPECIALLY Carricks goal, that was fucking ridiculous. We NEED a prolific striker in January, Tony knows this though.

I want Bothroyd out. Hoofroyd more like. The guy can't shoot. He was terrible today - holds the ball up wayyyyy too much.

Majstorovic out for 6 weeks with a caved in face. Wouldn't bother me if we had any cover. As is we'll be playing Glen Loovens for the next 10 odd games. *suicide*

    Hut, what's Jelavic like?

Some tenuous reports linking us with him. I presume he'll only cost us a couple of kit kats otherwise he won't be coming to casa Goodison.

I don't spend much time staring into the abyss lest it stare back into me, so I couldn't really tell you beyond that he's a legit penalty box goal threat & can be pretty neat in build up play. He isn't the quickest though and from my limited impressions can be a bit lazy. He wouldn't set merseyside alight but he might be a useful, cheap squad addition

And aye, Barclays & HMRS will make sure der hun takes whatever's on offer

I'd have mixed feelings about him at QPR & Everton since I like both clubs. If he went to Blackburn or something I could continue wishing serious injury on him

Suarez banned for 8 games and fined $40,000 for saying "Porque, Negro" to Fabrication Evra.

    Fuck the English FA.

The Police will conclude that they can't take the case any further. The FA will then conclude, out of deference to Police superiority in these matters, that they are not in a position to take the matter any further if the police are not able to do so, the logic being that if the superior resources and intellect of the Police have been exhausted, that the poor wikkle FA won't be able to do any better.

The FA will use Suarez as proof of how "serious they are about the matter" and will pass off the Terry affair as "beyond our remit"

Thats what will happen. I was pretty sure Suarez would get busted. Gordon Taylor, the FA, all of them have been looking for a chance to get back at Blatter over the World Cup and this is it. Well, amateur dramatics aside, I think they've just opened up a wound that won't be closing anytime soon. Liverpool have already released a statement which sets the ball rolling.

    The entire thing stinks.

The FA decision. 8 games is absurd and you just know the Terry case will find a way to fold in on itself and disappear into dimension X. It's a crock of shit.

I agree Irish. The police will do fuck all on the Terry case and that will give the fa the chance to follow suit.

IMO what harmed Suarez's case was that he changed his story 3 times:

'I said nothing offensive. I called him what his team-mates call him.'

'Oh that? Yes, I said that! But it means something else where I come from!'

    'I never said anything!'

On another note, the official LFC statement is shocking. I can't imagine John Henry will be pleased with it.

Oh. Right. I was thinking you meant my opinion of it.

My opinion is dead simple: this case, and the Andy Gray "sexism scandal", have, perhaps more than any other cases, driven home to me the inescapable conclusion that most people are, essentially, emotionally for sale, and that the powers-that-be know this.

When Sky/NOTW decided to suddenly reveal that Gray was a "sexist", they figured, accurately, that the sheer "emotive" nature of the matter would be enough to tarnish Gray to such an extent that he would not be able to suitably execute the ongoing dispute he had with his employers at the time, namely the lawsuit he was bringing with regard to the hacking of his phone by NOTW {itself a Siamese twin of Sky}.

The manner in which he was "exposed" as a "sexist" was alarming. Andy Gray, who is a boor and a civilized lout in any case, has spent the best part of 20 years at Sky engaging in boorish, loutish behaviour. Who here, in his or her right mind, would think that Andy Gray making disparaging comments about a female official, or asking Charlotte the Harlotte to unzip his fly were the first and only instances of boorish, loutish behaviour from Andy Gray? Nobody, I hope.

Yet, for some strange reason, these instances were leaked, anonymously, onto youtube, by persons unknown. The information can only have been leaked by Sky.

Within 24 hours there was a maelstrom of the usual "outrage" and feigned disgust. Karen Brady, herself the subject of a police investigation for tax evasion, babbled on at length about how this stuff "made her blood boil". Every half-assed excluded jilted female on the planet was chiming in about how they could have had that job as chief dinner lady at the Rotherham bingo emporium but for the overbearing male influences in their lives.

And all the while, Murdochs silent Asdiic ping was going out all over the nation, his tearless aural retinas silently pinging their way into the lives of dead schoolgirls, the bereaved mothers of murdered children, celebrity sluts, you name it.

Its no different here. We got us an English FA which has turned their little ship sideways and is broadsiding away furiously against the Ironsides of FIFA. Having failed to half-bribe and half-charm their way into a World Cup they were never going to get, and having chastened their own media into keeping schtum throughout the WC bid process, they have now seen fit to engage Blatter head on in a fit of misguided pique.

The racism crap is but one angle. As soon as Blatter, who is a dithering bum at best, and a Machiavellian schemer at worst, made some thick-tongued mumblings on the matter of racism, off went Mighty Blighty on a pontificating, moralizing crusade about how Poland and The Ukraine {to whom the Free World owes an inestimable debt} are desolate cultural backwaters, how England leads the way, watch this, watch this, watch how WE deal with the racists.....8 games for you laddy, yes, you with the black grandfather, Suarez, how dare you speak out of turn to Evra.

If you can get it dressed up as sexism, if you can get it dressed up as racism, if you can get it dressed up as fascism, you are half-way home to getting a comfortable "conviction" which defies the facts and logic.

I really do think the FA have fucked themselves here. Dalglish is 100% behind Suarez.

Just for arguments sake, who do you think was behind the LFC statement? Surely John Henry himself? Or did you mean John Henry was not happy {with the FA}, hence the Liverpool statement??

Dalglish thinks it is bullshit. One member of the 3 man panel is a close friend of Darren Ferguson, and claims to have helped Slur Alex keep his job at United. I shit thee not.

I think that the statement is quite amateurish in places:

Luis isn't racist - his granddad is black
Luis isn't racist - his mates are black
You can't believe evra, he's lied before (though it wasn't evra who brought the case last time).

I just would've thought the lfc stator filial statement would've been more professional. In places it read like a post from RAWK.

If Wayne Rooney was accused of making anti-Irish comments whats the first thing people would say in his defence? His Grand-Dad was Irish, how could he dislike the Irish. And a lot of people would row in behind it.

The killer paragraphy in the article is here:

"We would also like to know when the FA intend to charge Patrice Evra with making abusive remarks to an opponent after he admitted himself in his evidence to insulting Luis Suarez in Spanish in the most objectionable of terms
    Liverpool FC"

Get in here and vote!!! http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11096/7388855/Player-of-2011 Suarez way out ahead and they only have 5 days to pull it.

PS what you doing down in RAWK anyways?

I don't frequent RAWK tbh, but a few mates (reds) are on there and occasionally send me over some corkers. E.g. "I was reading that statement to my fiancee then, i could feel my voice getting louder, shakier, just with pride and emotion... "

But re your paragraph, I agree - they should both have been charged IMO.
