Don't be stupid. Evra is black. The FA wants to send the RIGHT message on racism, not the wrong one. :: As for the RAWKUS, yeah, sure, you do get that sort of thing going on, most of it is harmless fan-boys. I knew one moron who woke his infant son with his noise-making after Gosling scored versus Liverpool in the FA Cup and then had a falling out with his missus over it. Nutters.
Who made racist comments? 1. Who will be judged by the more competent panels for their respective "misgivings"? Suarez, whose case was heard by a 3 man panel one of whom is an acolyte of Darren Ferguson and Alex Ferguson??? Or Terry, who faces not just the wrath, but also the presumed competence and transparency of the Criminal Justice System?? 2. Despite Terry being dragged up, the biggest penalty he can receive is a £2500 fine. Suarez, charged tried and sentenced by a forum of far lesser competence, has been banned for 8 games, at massive potential loss to his employers, and fined 15 times what Terry MIGHT be fined. 3. Suarez, despite not being convicted of any racism, is referred to and regarded as, openly, in the press, as a Racist. Who got fucked here? Terry or Suarez? Chelsea or Liverpool? Terry has a better chance with a bevy of expensive Barristers and 12 of his peers than Suarez did with 3 goons, one of whom is a pal of Fergies. Suarez has in effect gotten a much harsher sentence and had more damage done to his reputation by a forum of lesser competence and for a, quite frankly, non-event of an "insult". In the Terry case, there isn't even a suggestion of a back-and-forth between Ferdinand and Terry. Yet it is now claimed that Suarez was referred to as a "Sudaca" {Spanish for "South American Immigrant"} by Evra and that the conversation was conducted in Spanish. There remains the outstanding issue of Evra having told the referee that he, the referee, was only booking him because "I am black". Its no mystery why the English are despised all over the fucking World. Sorry if that offends any English here, I am merely telling you how your institutions are perceived. Maybe Feebles was right all along. England is slowly retreating into a pit of utter irrelevancy and isolation.

That looks pretty good.... what is the current situation? have you guys got the money? I dont recall any big investment in the last few years?
I've said all along that all 3 should be charged. All 3 HAVE used a racist comment. There's no disputing this. Suarez has been found guilty because he's used 3 differing defences, and each none has been a load of shit. I think he's been badly advised by the club throughout this mess.
Who says "Negrito" is a racist term???? The English? Cos they speak Spanish now, in addition to Urdu? As for being "Badly advised" thats bollox. He felt he didn't do anything wrong and was entitled to act accordingly. Bad advice would have been to plead guilty against his principles and hope he got off easier. Once he decided to fight it that was that. Let's call a spade a spade: the powers that be in English football got dry humped ten ways from Sunday over the World Cup. This is how they get back at FIFA over it. "OH LOOK AT US WE'RE SO FUCKING OUT THERE WHEN IT COMES TO RACISM. We only ran Alpay out of the game a few years ago, and we don't shoot Catholics in Ireland as much as we used to. We are right progressive" And to see moronic tits with a few o-levels presenting themselves as arbiters on the matter is pathetic. Hacks. Spivs. Gutter press merchants. The English public must be fucking thick thick thick. Does ANYONE over there think for themselves? Don't be offended, the Irish are right up there with you on Saturday evenings, jaw hanging open at the latest Reality horseshit. Bastards in a basket the lot of them.
Isn't the FA charge Also including 'using insulting language with reference to the player's skin colour'? That nails it. The two of them were in the middle of an on-pitch feud. The comment was meant to be abusive, or at best belittling/condescending.
Yes, that's the charge, if I get charged with Murder that doesn't mean I did it, even if we got us a dead body which I admitted killing. Suarez doesn't deny he called him, in Spanish, a "little black boy", the problem is that where he comes from, to do so is inoffensive, common parlance. A very quick "don't do it again" would have sufficed. Its not like he called him a jig or a coon or a wog.
Sorry for your boys and sorry to have picked against them, I just have that "new manager" feeling about O'Neill and all that entails. I will say this much, you probably couldn't lose to a nicer more generally liked guy. Adam should have scored for Liverpool, it would be easy to bitch, but in the context of how things have gone since last Wednesday, 4 points out of 6 on the road is not too bad. FUCK THE OWL. That Cunt has cost me two points in the space of week, which is I suppose one less than he did a year ago or so. ::
I had to work tonight :Wah: - was the first home game i've missed all season :Wah: Wigan are proving tricky to beat at home. They play some nice footy at times .
Possibly, I know they are unbeaten in three. Martinez is a class act. Too bad Dave Whelan is useless and old and frail and tighter than Scrooges butthole.
Martinez has done a great job there. Have you seen this? :l2: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16269286.stm
Apart from Claridge, I have no time for those other tools. Especially Savage, and Motson to a lesser extent. I can understand the BBC's need to try and "keep up" with the other broadcasters when it comes to football, but there are surely better ways to spend the taxpayers licence fee than pissing it away on nonsense like that. Sorry to be an old kill-joy mate.:truce:
Yes but there is no intent. He, it seems, {and I await cast-iron confirmation} was referred to as a "Sudaca" by Evra and thus, the only appropriate response, from the POV of a Spanish speaking Uruguyan, is "Porque Negro/Negrito". None of this, in any case, comes close to discussing the total nonsense printed in todays press. "Oh, look at me, I have 4 black chromosomes, I'm obviously a fucking authority on these matters". :wack: Following their very own rules on racial identity, Suarez, who has a black Grandfather, could very well run around calling everybody a Nig-Nog and not get into any trouble. Would any Afro-American with a single black Grandparent be deemed racist, fined and banned for referring to another "Black" person as "nigga"??? Of course not. As ever, England slide effortlessly and unnecessarily into a pit of irrelevancy and detachment, all of its own hand. None of that is any consolation to me, lest you think it is. I had a similar discussion with Feebles not so long ago, I felt England had something to offer the World, he was not entirely sure it did. Now, I feel more in agreement with him.
Here's a story for you, Irish. This should settle you down a bit.
Have you followed the case, or just what you read on the Everton forums?? Much as I suspected, you just don't have the grounding in this matter to get properly involved. I don't mean that to be trite or gratuitously condescending. For what it is worth, go back at least as far as the Andy Gray "sexism" case. If on the other hand you are prepared to accept one version of events because it suits your immediate allegiances, then thats too bad.
Haven't followed it at all. As far as I know, I haven't gotten involved in the argument whatsoever either. :dunno:
I was watching ESPN classic a few weeks ago and I came across one of their "30 for 30" movies, a series of films made to celebrate 30 years of ESPN since its launch in 1979. One of the stories is called "Once Brothers"- its about two guys from the former Yugolsavia who emerged from the Communist era to play pro basketball in the States. One was a Croat, Drazen Petrovic, and the other was a Serb, Vlade Divac. Not wanting to give too much up here, but they had a falling out, then Petrovic died in an accident. Divac, pictured in my sig {with the beard} is a guy I did some reading up on. Like Darry Strawberry or Kurt Knispel {the guy in my avatar}. Knispel was a German tank ace from WW2 who, like Wilfred Owen in WW1, died one week from the end of the War. I incorporate some of the stuff I come across online into my Fightbeat interface Just like Caligula, except he does it in a kind of misunderstanding "is this how to do it, this is what everyone else is doing, right? Yeah? :dunno: "way. The smilie underneath the photo kind of looks like a guy bouncing a basketball so I threw it in.
