    I just saw this last night. Great Movie. Might be the best out of the series after the third one.

    This movie needs to be scene on imax. The story was fast and right to the point. Brad Bird as a director was very good. The scenes in Dubai were incredible, especially knowing that they were real. No blue screen and no stunt double.

    If you get a chance to see this on Imax 70mm screen, do it.

    Also, the prologue for The Dark Night Returns was very good.

    I saw it last night as well, in IMAX. It was OK. The Burj Khalifa scene was indeed cool, so was the BMW concept car. As a film it fails to impress, but still not a bad way to spend an evening I guess.

    Completely disagree. And with a 95% at rottentomatoes, i would say that most of the people that saw it it disagree as well.

    This movie is the shit. Go check it out on Imax.

    Word. I don't get that either. You write any post about an actor and somebody is going to come on yacking about how much they dislike the guy even though odds are they never even met them. Like I've always said there is no actor I like or dislike who can completely sway me from seeing a movie or not seeing a movie. I judge off the trailer and the story and if it happens to be an actor in it who's talents I enjoy, then that's just gravy.

    By the way, I agree, the MI-4 movie was very good and like GF I'd probably rank it just behind part 3 with how good it was, mainly because part 3 was such a tough act to follow.

    Who do you want to compare him too? He is very interesting to watch, has his movies constantly generate bank. I think Cruise has plenty of range.

    He is behind Tom Hanks as the biggest box office actor EVER worldwide.

    I dont count Orlando Bloom, Samuel L Jackson or Harrison Ford as they were part of seperate trilogies and didnt star in all of them.

    However movies were the guy was the main star, behind hanks, Cruise is the guy.

    what does box office have to do with ANYthing, Anthony?

    Who's a better actor, Robert Duvall or Tom Cruise? I suspect anyone not directly involved in the church of scientology would say Duvall by miles and miles... which guy has made more money? Cruise

    I don't see any range from Cruise, I see forced performances, I see someone who constantly appears to be "trying really hard"

    I am definitely not the only person to express this viewpoint either, you make it sound like I am criticizing the acting ability of a peak Robert DeNiro or Marlon Brando. Those guys had the ability to seamlessly slip in to characters and have it fit just right, it looked effortless. Cruise has always looked to me (and I've seen all of those movies you listed) to be "acting" ... To me, the mark of a great actor is one who looks as if he is not acting at all.

    Anyone that has seen the 5 movies i mentioned above and say that Cruise is wooden is out of their mind. You dont get nominated twice for best actor if you are wooden.

    Vin Deisel does terrific box office and he goes unintentional full retard in every damn movie he makes.

    Tom Cruise is considered exceedingly good looking, which has a lot to do with his box office success. Viewers like pretty people. Julia Roberts is the biggest female movie star of our time and I find her to be largely shit, as well. Kathy Bates is ten times the actress she is, but Kathy Bates is a big fat lady.

    You will never convince me that Tom Cruise is a good actor. I don't BELIEVE him. If you yourself do not believe the performer, you are not going to think very highly of their skills. I forget Robert Duvall is "Robert Duvall" when I watch him in a film, he becomes his character, he looks natural, as if a camera just happened to be there. Cruise looks perpetually to be "ACTING"... I hate the guy. Even a film like "Born On The 4th Of July", a terrific story, and a performance that even Cruise detractors seem to generally think well of, did not convince me. There are moments where he ALMOST succeeds, but there's still that vacant gaze, I am still expecting someone to yell "CUT!" any second. Cruise does not convince me, he never has and he never will. I detested him as an actor long before I knew anything about him being a lunatic scientologist.
