The Mayorga fight is proof that Tito's wraps gave him an advantage. No one ever stood up to Tito for that long, with that many shots previously.
Well, they (other commissions) enforced those rules in the rest of his career fights. So we have a tale from before he got caught and after and it leads to only one rational conclusion.
That is the nail in the coffin. Tito's dad confirmed he cheated the whole time. I like how suddenly people become wordsmiths. Margarito is a cheater, he broke the rules. Tito broke the NY state commission rules only, "dickhead." He knowingly broke the rules and got caught=cheater. It is a fact, not opinion, not hatred, he cheated and his own fucking trainer said he did it his ENTIRE FUCKING CAREER TO THAT POINT? If you get caught cheating and then say you did it the whole time what does that make you. CHEATER.
They didn't absorb like Mayorga did you idiot. Vargas and Reid were dropped numberous times and they were boxing. Mayorga let Tito hit him and stood in front of him for the entire fight. Vargas did and got dropped thrice. He then boxed. Reid was schooling Tito for 3 or 4 rounds . Maybe you should watch fights before commenting. Mayorga literally gave him free shots and never moved out of punching range. Reid and Vargas both did.
I don't agree with Double there. Tito had natural power given to him by the gods. The wraps helped him, rather allowed him to throw at ultimate velocity whereas his opponents could not because their hands would be damaged. Here is a simple question. If Trinidad did nothing wrong, why did New York make him re-wrap and why did all subsequent (meaning following or later in this context, big word for you) commissions not allow him to wrap his hands? Why? If it conferred no advantage why do it? If it was of no use, why did New York say he couldn't do it?
I love that your basing your theory on the fact that Mayorga (who was never koed to that point) took Trinidad's punches for eight WHOLE rounds. :l2:
Sorry, you previous statement was predicated on the fact "No one" stopped Mayorga yet that is false.I did "get" you.
Of course not, not every time or even most times. Again, if I am so stupid, why did Tito break the rules his entire career if he received no benefit. Why?If he did nothing wrong, why did he stop wrapping his hands one he was caught? Why? Welcome to fightbeat. It's been fun slapping you around.
There's no sense in debating this. All anyone needs to do is watch 4-5 pre-hopkins fights, followed by his post-hopkins fights.
Why was it illegal if it conferred no advantage. Notice all the Trinifaggots have avoided this question for 2 pages? Be fair Steve? Admit your hero was a cheat.
He is not my hero. The Hopkins, Wright and especially the Jones fight are not evidence he was a cheater in his prime. Sorry.
You mean why is it illegal if there is no advantage? Brother Nazim himself says he was just nitpicking, following the letter of the law.
If Tony was putting plaster in his wraps and still having to wear down guys by attrition and facial injuries I doubt Tito was bouncing Vargas & Joppy about at 154 & 160 because he had a couple extra layers of foam gauze in there. I mean...maybe, but it seems unlikely.
