:: :: Yeah I don't think the Irish will ever let that go :: Henry in his pomp had everything though, blistering pace, quick thinking, improvisation, great touch, clinical finishing, the lot
That's a great deal. He's been hit and miss for United, but when he's on he's very, very good. I think he'll do better with us where there isn't the same kind of pressure on him.
Personally I think he has always been underrated, Bellamy and shearer was brilliant together - he has performed at every club, long may it continue..
I alternated between the BBC text and streams where i Could find them. Gerrard does and always did have a great right foot, as good as Beckham in my opinion. If Gerrard can be deployed on the right, like Benitez used to deploy him in 2005/2006 when he got 25 goals, then he can be both a goal threat and provide width/delivery. I'm watching the full game now on a download. Of course, he's better than Adam and Downing, Henderson is still young yet. That said Adam hit a sick pass to release Johnson for the winner vs Chelsea. Adam is what it says on the tin, he's a £6m player.
Bellamy got a terrible rep, mainly thanks to Souness. He's put in a shift everywhere he has gone. Its part of what I meant when I complain about the Gerrard-love....Bellamy scored and got an assist in some massive games- Barcelona in the European Cup in 2007.
That was some clearance from Skrtel to deny Ba, but that was a clever/cute shot that Ba attempted. Carroll really should have scored tonight (the header which struck the bar). Perfect cross from Gerrard.
He's a purse snatcher. He'll always get something. Same as he did vs Villa with that goal, or even vs Palace in the Carling Cup when he won the penalty.
Steve Kean is mentally weak. If I was in his position and "Sir" Alex rang me, days before my team were due to play his, to offer me "kind words of support", I know how I would respond. United to win by 5 or more today, write it in stone. Ferguson has these bums eating out of his hand. Is it not telling that Ferguson "supported" Kean by telling the press that he blames the owners......for firing Allardyce, the man Kean replaced. All of these chumps are weak.
Statistically, this means he does not have long to live, so I will be celebrating his 70th birthday with gusto. Hopefully, his daily gallon of wine will have also shaved a few years off. It would be nice if he turned an effervescent festive purple today and keeled over into a varicose, time-piece-tapping bundle fit for the pyre.
This proves what a great manager Kean is. Nobody gives penalties at Old Trafford to the opposing team. Expect Mike Dean to get hauled up and banned for 8 games.
:: Could have been a free kick awarded against the Yak for holding. United not finding their feet in front of goal yet. They haven't tested Bunn so far.
Mr Cholesterol, do your thing!!!! :rock1: Ferguson is right to try and stay on. Like Shankly at Liverpool before him, he would die if he quit working. Whats he going to do? Drink and sit around. Men get heart attacks from two things: not working and working too hard. Yakubu has become fat again I see.
I just couldn't imagine Fergie not being at United. It would be so strange. He'd probably attend every home and away game after he retires anyway. The Yak does look like he's overdone it at the christmas table, but he's still a threat.
I'm not. I'm gutted too. I'm trying to get a link online for the match. Could you help me with this? The good thing though is that I get to see both Arsenal and Liverpool at home.
I'm in Clapham Junction eating a KFC. Then off to the Emirates to watch the boys from the Bush give Andrew and Hitmans boys a tonking. Whurrrrp
