34% possession for Liverpool after 12 minutes is easily the worst Liverpool have done in ages against any team. Bad start for Liverpool made worse by the fact that the containing plan isn't working.

 

Liverpool been ordinary so far- but Barry could have been off there. Liverpools containing job didn't work in the first half, Carrol did oK and set kuyt up but Kompany did well to block. City were good, fair play to them, but 3-0 doesn't reflect on Liverpool,who really were better than that scoreline. From the 45th minute to the penalty, Liverpool played as well as anyone who has played at City this season, bar City themselves.

 

Reina could have done better with Aguero's shot, but it seems the ball dipped at speed and confused Reina. Defenders could have done better for the Toure goal - great header though. Nice penalty from Milner.

Btw, I had a bet on Balotelli to score the first goal in this one, but he never even made the fucking bench :l2: My sky sports news app told me he was almost certain to make an appearance :doh:

 

What's happened to Dzeko? He started the season so well. Scored 13 in 14 games and now hasn't scored since bonfire night against QPR.
