What makes sense at this point in his career? Personally I think he has earned another big payday.

    Thoughts?

    That's silly!

I put, "other." He should fight Angulo! It'd be an awesome fight, and he'd win.

Although, if I were his manager, that'd probablybe the last fight I'd make.

If I'm his manager, I try to make the Pacquiao rematch or the PBF fight.

If he is to fight, i'd like to see him in with the Ginger.

Alvarez....the biggest winnable money fight that he can make..

I think Mayweather is a winnable fight for him. I'm not saying I'd pick him or favor him to beat PBF, but I wouldn't consider it unwinnable. Cotto's dealt with hand-speed in the past, and he's not the type of fighter who fights scared.

As the years pass by he has a bigger chance of an upset against Floyd. Alvarez would also be interesting..

I would fucking love to see him bash Khan at 147, if he can still make it to 147.

You Brits really have it in for Khan, damn.

I have no idea why Jimmy keeps saying he should retire.

He's past his best but nowhere near shot. He looked fucking good enacting vengeance on that scumbag, looked just as sharp as in the first fight before the wraps took their toll.

I'd love to see Cotto smash Khan at 147, I think he can probably still make the weight if he does it wisely. He looks small at 154.

I'd also love to see him beat the crap out of Ginge, to prove Hut wrong :kidcool:

My reason is just one. He can go out on a high after revenge and redemption after beating up Margarito. I wouldn't like to see him face Alvarez and take a beating - not that I think that this would happen.

Fair enough, of course it's good to go out on a high, but extremely rare.

I happen to think there's a handful of incredibly winnable fights for him though, that he would be stupid not to pursue, including the two mentioned, Alvarez and Khan.

I would be very surprised if Cotto lost either of those fights.

I'd like to see him go down to 147 and take on khan if possible - if he can make the weight of course and if he wants to. Cotto/Alvarez is the one though that the majority want to see. That will show us just how good Alvarez really is.

He has earned another big fight IMO. It would be awesome if he avenged his loss to Pacman. It's a hell of a task but Manny has been looking vulnerable.

Alvarez is the "easiest" big payday, but a Floyd fight would give him a proper retirement fund, and really no reason to ever fight again - which is where I honestly believe he is at in his career, mentally.

I think he should move back to 147 honestly. He's not a big 154 pounder even though I think he would beat the Ginger.

But I'd like to see him take on the Berto-Ortiz winner, and if its Ortiz even better. I'd like to see Ortiz take a REAL beating.

  22. Ortiz is a dangerous fight for Cotto, believe.

It would be a good fight. If there is a dangerous fight for Cotto its Alvarez. Miguel is much better but Canelo seems to pack a serious punch.

BULLSHIT.....Cotto will beat him up and make him quit..It mighta been you or another floyd nuthugger but before Ortiz fight vs. Mayweather one of you were saying Berto and Ortiz would beat Cotto and Margarito...it was laughable then and even more so today..

Thinking it over...Cotto could get two nice pay days....

Fight Mayweather if he wins the world is his....if he get beat and look really, really bad, Bob Arum and GBP might think he is SHOT and DONE and finally put their future money cows(Chavez jr and Ginger) in the ring vs. Cotto...

I don't think Ortiz has the toughness to beat Cotto.

Early on he would be dangerous I agree, but once Cotto gets him in deep, Ortiz will implode again.

    Cotto would beat Ortiz.

Bob will put Chavez in there with Cotto long before Martinez. I expect Cotto-Chavez later this year.
