You have yet to clarify what makes you think Floyd doesn't want the fight.

In fact, there's never been any reason to believe Floyd doesn't want the fight. There was reason to believe that Floyd didn't particularly care whether the fight was made, which I mentioned. The fact that he's calling out Pacquiao and saying he wants to fight him indicates that, well, he wants the fight.

So again - why do you think Floyd doesn't want the fight?

Does it not make you wonder that you're pretty much the only person here that thinks this little twitter outburst means Floyd DOES want the fight?

I think Floyd probably wants the fight more than he did before after seeing Pacquiao against Marquez, but honestly for whatever reason I think he still doesn't really want it.

For starters the timing is way off. If whatever sources are to be believed, within a week we'll here an official announcement of BOTH their next fights. Floyd knows this, it's an empty offer, no different then sending an official fight offer but offering say 10% of the purse. It doesn't mean anything, it's just bluffing.

That's about now, about before, well does it really need explaining? Negotiations broke down when Floyd made an unprecedented demand, then when Pacquiao agreed to a compromise, Floyd backed off and said it was too late.

Since then NEITHER one of them has made any real effort to get the fight made.

So the same question for you, what makes you think Floyd DOES want the fight? Nothing he's done has indicated this.

Personally I think if he really wanted the fight he would have fucking signed the contract, roids and all. If he was as confident of beating Manny as many of his fans, why on earth would he not just sign the fight and say "Take whatever the fuck you want, and I'll still beat you".

It would have been a good psychological move actually.

    That isn't the case.

However, you are the only person here who thinks that this outburst means he DOES NOT want the fight.

    LOL "for whatever reason"

    priceless

"whatever reason" = you're gay for Pacquiao

the mindless speculation of a moron is so meaningful, do tell us more Mr. Machiavelli

As expected, more drivel from you, seeing as you have nothing of substance to say, ever.

I have news for you, it's all speculation retard, seeing as the only facts are the fight wasn't signed, due to Floyd introducing unprecedented demands.

You're also too fucking dumb to process the context of "whatever reason". "Whatever reason" isn't regarding why I don't think Floyd wants the fight, "whatever reason" is the reason Floyd doesn't want the fight, meaning why the fuck wouldn't he after seeing the Marquez fight. Moron.

And as usual, you're wrong. Most posters on this thread see the little bit of twitter gayness for what it is, more Floyd bullshit.

I think you're literally the only retard on this site that started jumping up and down thinking "wow, I guess this means Floyd really wants the fight!".

    Actually, here's what else isn't speculation -

    - Manny walked away from the Floyd fight twice because he didn't want to undergo testing for PEDs

    - "Unprecedented" and "unreasonable" are not the same thing.

    - Manny changed his reasons for why he didn't want to undergo testing several times during both discussions.

    - Arum has been making excuses for why Manny isn't going to fight Floyd since after the Marquez fight

    - Floyd has called out Manny publicly and stated he wants to fight him

All of these things are fact.

No, you're too fucking dumb to speak articulately and coherently. This is what you said -

I understood your intent from skimming the rest of your post (I don't usually read most of your posts, not worth bothering with), but the fact that I had fun with your statement and then you tried to call me out for not interpreting it correctly is pretty funny.

Actually, the OP also stated "the ball is in Manny's court now." Most people who aren't gay for Pacquiao like you took the statement at face value, instead of trying to make more excuses to hate on their lover's enemy.

Also, I just went back and actually read what you said earlier

    That isn't what happened.

Negotiations broke down because Floyd demanded dope testing (you keep pointing out this is "unprecedented," Manny asking for $10 mil per lb over 147 is also "unprecedented" but Floyd agreed to that) and Manny hemmed and hawed about his fear of needles, being weakened by the same amount of blood taken from newborn infants, blah blah etc. Eventually he tried to agree on a 24 (or was it 21) day cutoff, which, if you know anything about PEDs (you don't, which is a given, you don't know anything about anything) is a hole big enough to drive a truck through.

Floyd countered with an offer of a 2 week out cutoff. Manny said no, the fight was off. At that point, Floyd stated publicly that he had tried to compromise, but 2 weeks was off the table in any negotiations henceforth.

Pacquiao agreed to the compromise of 2 weeks MONTHS AFTER IT HAD ALREADY BEEN TAKEN OFF THE TABLE. Arum spun this as "we're ready to meet Floyd's demands." Idiots like you swallowed it.

Manny also publicly called Floyd out straight after the Marquez fight, something like "Mayweather, if you want to fight, let's get it on".

I guess Floyd must be a total bitch for not responding to Manny's public "calling out" :wack:

It was no more sincere than Floyd's bullshit twitter callout, the difference is I'm not a blind retard like you, so I didn't believe it and start jumping up and down like a little girl saying "Oh I've been waiting for Manny to say something like this!".

the difference is the fight is on the table now and pacquiao via his promoter are making up excuses as to why they do not want to take the fight.

Arum can be such a dipshit.

"You don't throw $40 million away." Fuck you, PEDman, you've been throwing away a lot more than that for the past two years.

Besides that, the math doesn't add up. He's claiming 24,000 extra seats...let's make it 30,000 more. $40,000,000 divided by 30,000 equals $1,333 per seat. Keep in mind that none of these extra seats will be anywhere near the ring and none can be expected to bring in anywhere near $1000 each.

In fact, http://www.mb.com.ph/node/232784/pacquiaomayweather-ticket-co talks about the fight back in December of 2009 when talks first began. Arum quotes $500 for worst seats at MGM and less than $500 if in 80,000 capacity Dallas stadium. Fuck Arum.

    Here is what believe:

    - Mayweather THINKS right now is the time to fight Pacquaio.
    - When Pacquaio was destroying the same FIGHTERS Floyd faced, Floyd didn't want none and created obstacles for the fight not to happen.
    - There are plenty of locations in VEGAS to support the demand for this PPV, either live or in closed circuit. The more Arum creates scheduling problems, the more Floyd wants the fight.
    - The more obsfucated or muddled message coming from Pacquaio on who he wants to fight, the more Floyd wants the fight.
    - There should be a rematch CLAUSE in the contract.
    - Floyd would always be favored to win the fight. Mesmerizing was Floyd's reluctance in the past to fight Manny which will only hurt Floyd's legacy if the fight never happens.

Strike while hot, but if the fight never happens life goes on.

so you are saying he created obstacles that pacquiao has now agreed to....because he (mayweather jr.) did not want the fight?

There will be attempts to REWRITE history.

Bottom line is this: Pacquaio, the FIGHTER of the decade, is happy with his hall of fame career and Floyd is happy with the money he has made.

    Bring in the sunset...
for another promising public servant career for Pacquaio.
for Floyd, he could go on DEBATING the fight that never happened with JAIL in between.

Yes, that is what I stated CLEAR as day.

Discussions with you in the past were like the Abbott and Costello routine "who's on first?" always ending with Freitas playing third base...

Floyd got himself into LEGAL trouble because of it. Made CLAIMS that Pacquaio was only getting better results than him because he was on something. Asked for unprecedented concessions to the top star in the sport because he thought he would be in a firefight.

Now that Pacquaio has remained ACTIVE, with Floyd taking 2 hiatus' NOW he is ready? Pacquaio fought high caliber FIGHTERS 9 times while Floyd fought 4 times in the same time span.

Don't blame the other side for being difficult right back or taking their sweet time WHEN or IF the fight takes place...

You still haven't answered the question. What obstacle did Floyd put in place that he has taken away?

It's actually less on the table now than it was straight after the Marquez fight, as back then neither fighter was close to signing their next fight were they?

Where as now, as their next fights are apparently close to being a done deal for May/June, Floyd suddenly starts a "twitter beef"?

People as stupid as retard gloves evidently think fights are negotiated via twitter beefs, but they're not.

Has there even been an official offer? A contract proposal?

Yeah, that was my immediate thought. My calculations came to $1666 each for the additional ticket sales in order to meet Arum's goal.

This doesn't even take into account the expense of setting up and staffing a 40,000 seat arena to begin with.

    Fuck both these guys.

Again, our intelligence insulted. By PBF. And by Arum. And by Pacquiao. Either fight each other or stop pretending you want to, and for this reason or that, you just can't. You won't fight each other. Period. That's what we have. The two best fighters in the world unwilling to face each other. It's as simple as that.

The Doctor who stitched up Manny's face after JMM says Pac is not supposed to start sparring until April. How is May 5 a realistic date if Manny can't spar until April?
