I know exactly what you meant, obviously highlighted mikE's absurd "Brook would win because he is undefeated", when Timmy is too

Are you really this stupid? If Brook loses, it doesn't necessarily mean that he won't beat Bradley, but it will likely provide all kinds of reasons why he wouldn't and it will mean that it's time to reassess my judgment of him.

Everyone changes their opinion of a fighter after a loss, brainiac.

You said as long as he's undefeated you'll pick him, therefore in your eyes his potential success against Bradley rests soley on him being undefeated

So Brook gets blown away by Hatton in his next fight and then fights Bradley and I'm supposed to pick him over Bradley? I think he's better than Bradley based on what we know right now. If he keeps winning, I'm willing to maintain that position for purposes of backing up my current contention.

It's a reasonable hedge, so quit being a dipshit. The fact that you couldn't figure it out on your own...well, that just says something about your reasoning skills, I guess.

    Bradley is undefeated too.

Truth be told it doesn't mean much. Timmy could get bludgeoned by Pacquiao in his next fight and still school Brook with ease.

    Bradley is undefeated? No shit!?

Bradley is a known commodity, Brook is not. I never said that my pick of Brook had anything to do with him being undefeated, but it depends on him staying undefeated. If he had one or two losses earlier in his career and I still felt he was better than Bradley right now, I would still make my claim and bet contingent upon him (the guy I am picking) not losing prior to them (the guy I am picking and the guy I am picking against) fighting in the future.

I started out at the high school level and assumed you could follow. Now I'm down to a jr high explanation. Do I need to go to grade school so you can understand?

I don't think Brook fights like a typical Ingle fighter, to be fair

I didn't want to start a new thread on this; it has been beaten to death. But this article is interesting:

    http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2105907,00.html

This is the first time I have seen a media giant, with accountable and generally accurate reporting commit to such a blistering portrayal of Floyd. Usually boxnfight.net has some guy you never heard of saying "a source close to Bob Arum says..." and it's all bullshit.

But here you have someone who talked directly to Arum (and by the looks of it Pac) and had some inside information on the phone call Floyd made to Pac recently. Floyd refused to talk to the reporter, usually not a good strategy or philosophy, but not surprising.

No one trusts Arum, so obviously people will read into this what they will. But Arum goes surprisingly easy on PBF and appears to truly have been seeking a deal on this fight until Floyd went "Floyd" and demanded better than 50/50 on the split. I have been one to fall into the "both camps are at fault" category, and still am primarily, but when all is said and done on this chapter in the drama, it really looks like Floyd did NOT want this fight, for whatever reason.

I think calling out Manny had an effect. I think however crude it was (Twitter? please) it worked enough to put this fight back in the mainstream spotlight. And I think Floyd was surprised to get a 50/50 offer that generally suited him, so he blew it all up.

Ya know... the arrogant, woman-beatin, racist-rantin, steal-your-iphone, slave-contractin, Larry-Merchant-threatenin, PBF is a fucking waste of a human being and of the talent he was given. You can't like this guy, you just can't.

If it doesn't happen in November, it's never going to happen.

Last bastion of hope right there.

Agreed. I normally pay little attention to what a fighter does outside the ring but Floyd has been such a cunt for so long now i find it difficult to even appreciate his boxing talent any more.

Either i'd just to see him knocked the fuck out or just go away and never be heard from again.
