This came up in ESB and I'm curious to see what the general consensus is here.

Tyson is the real deal . Floyd is a wannabe. Tyson was friends with Tupac. Floyd with 50 cent. That cements my theory .

Tyson because he's not scared of 5'2 Filipino guys who wear belts and pull their trousers up really high.

This is actually a really good question. I almost immediately want to say Tyson but I don't think that's true. Floyd has certainly accomplished more in the boxing ring and for a greater period of time. Mike got me into boxing while Floyd is one of the poster boys of what I think is wrong with boxing today.

I don't know how to answer this question. I'm gonna Donnybrook this one because regardless it definitely enhances Roy's legacy.

I love Tyson and hate Floyd, but Floyd is the greater fighter.

If Floyd was 5'11" and weighed 220lbs, who wins?

Tyson's greatness is underrated. Dude was youngest heavyweight titlist ever and second youngest champion. unified for the first time since Leon spinks. one of only and handful of men to regain the title. In his prime he was as good as any heavyweight in history not named Muhammad Ali.

However this is Floyd that we're talking about...so Floyd wins.

Floyd is. Tyson was a billion times more compelling. Floyd is also a billion times the coward. His cowardice has to count in this equation. The fact that he dodged Margarito is awful. However, there is a reason ducking is a tried and true form. In reality, Floyd only really lost once and he was injured. Mike got kayo'd by Buster Douglas. He also lost to the very average Evander Holyfield. Floyd never lost officially in the ring. Hard to rank Tyson higher although I would love to. Both are pieces of shit though. I hope they both have violent sudden deaths.

It's gotta be Tyson! Gotta be. It's not fair or useful anyway to make the comparison before PBF's career is over.

After that solid three year run, Tyson really didn't accomplish shit.

Being honest, Floyd's run at 130 and Tyson's championship run in the 80s are pretty much a wash. Tyson's run was on a much larger stage, but in terms of quality they're pretty similar.

Either way, isn't it unfair to try to make this judgement before PBF's career is over?
