Yeah, that's pretty low for a "world title" fight, but it was about as low key a fight as you can get for a world title I guess. 55k is around what I thought he'd get.

It would've been $125k had Goossen not priced him out of the Cotto-Margarito II card. For some dumb reason, it was believed (by Goossen) that the fight was worth twice as much.

Yet for all his greed, he didn't even bother to show up for the fuckin' purse bid, allowing Top Rank to win the purse with an overall bid of less than what Ramos himself would've cleared on a much bigger stage on Dec. 3.

Between that and Goossen pricing John John Molina out of a March fight with Brandon Rios, stands to reason that fighters will begin to think twice before signing with him.

John John Molina ??? Even if this dude is still fighting I seriously doubt he'd be offered a title shot, or is there another fighter who goes by the same name ??

BTW, this is awfull stuff from Goossen, he should pay the difference from his own pocket ( if he's not bankrupted from the fancy hotels and restaurent as usual )

I hear rumors about a possible Rigo-Gamboa match up.

I read somewhere that they fought 3 times as amateurs and Rigo beat him all three times.

both won gold for Cuba. Should be a good fight if it happens.

Gamboa Vs Rios is such a stupid fight.

Rios will win, because he's too big and tough. Why does Gamboa or his promoter want that fight?

It SEEMS like a Stupid Fight to REED as Well, but the Thing is, Gamboa & his Peeps have Seen ALOT of Rios...Perhaps they're All HIGH on Drugs, but Evidently there's SOMETHING they See in Rios, which Makes them Think Gamboa can Beat him...

Like You, REED Thinks Rios is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Tooooooooooooo Big + Gamboa is AVAILABLE to Be Hit...& While Gamboa has LEGIT Power, Rios has a GREAT (Possibly MargaritaESQUE) Chin...

If Gamboa Somehow WINS, he's Boxing's Newest STAR...

I have a feeling we've got a virtuoso performance on our hands. Gut feeling that Gamboa beats Rios big.
