Well, the great thing about an MMA Forum is that you get to chat, debate and bitch about the sport. BUT at the end of the day (or week) there are great fights to look forward to. Remember the "Fuel TV" fights start at 5PM EST. Preliminary card (Facebook) Middleweight bout: Chris Camozzi vs. Dustin Jacoby Preliminary card (Fuel TV) Heavyweight bout: Joey Beltran vs. Lavar Johnson Lightweight bout: Michael Johnson vs. Shane Roller Featherweight bout: Charles Oliveira vs. Eric Wisely Featherweight bout: Cub Swanson vs. George Roop Heavyweight bout: Mike Russow vs. John-Olav Einemo Lightweight bout: Evan Dunham vs. Nik Lentz Main card Middleweight bout: Demian Maia vs. Chris Weidman Middleweight bout: Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping Light Heavyweight bout: Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis
fox might wanna rip that ufc contract up after fights like this. im sure dana promised exciting fights.
another close round, but Bisping looks exhausted at the end. He should really stop trying this stupid spinning back kick
Sonnen with some good lay and pray in the 3rd, even thought Bisping probably cause more dammage in the last 10 seconds than him the whole round, may have won him the fight
Sonnen is overrated as fuck. The first Silva fight was obviously one in which Silva was disinterested and underestimated Sonnen. I bet after watching this crap, Anderson probably thought to himself, "I could beat both these clowns back to back.". Terrible fight by both arrogant and overrated pricks that should have justly been ruled a draw.
That was the first time in my life I wanted Bisping to win. It could have gone either way. I don't know how that one judge gave every round to Sonnen.
it's funny how they keep mentionning Davis is athletic and explosive. He's neither, he's ankward and clumsy imo
I didn't think so. Wasn't the best card of all time, but for free t.v. viewing I'd say it was enjoyable.opcorn:
the only enjoyable thing for me was the nick diaz commercials. ufc needs to get nick diaz on fox pronto. guys like maia, sonnen and evans are not bringing new fans to mma. the elite xc cards were more enjoyable than that garbage on fox tonight.
That's what I was thinking. They should have put the Diaz / Condit fight on fox. That's guaranteed to be a great fight.
In all honesty, UFC is not very good at putting good cards on network TV. Like the last one, this card was pretty bad. Shows how pathetic the middleweight division really is. Both of those fights were horrible. Also, I found it wierd how Goldman and Rogan were going off about how athletic Davis is. The dude has to be one of the most clumsy any stiff fighters I have seen in a while.
Can't say I'm surprised about the main event. Davis has never looked much at all to me, and Evans is a solid fighter. I'm surprised the UFC isn't making better decisions with Fox cards, to attract new fans. Business and marketing is really their forte. I can't imagine Fox are too happy.
