I'm hearing Chavez is as high as a 5/1 favourite this weekend. Probably throw a couple hundred down on Rubio. Where should I do it?
Yeah that's the problem. And even though I think Rubio is going to be landing the cleaner shots, doing the best work, and deserve the decision, he can be a little negative, and Chavez will be just about busy enough to make a robbery possible.
and then theres the whole thing of, do u really wanna bet on a dude named RUBIO in a combat sport? this aint an orchestra competition
If it's a close fight surely Jr. will get the decision. Doesn't necessarily mean Rubio would be robbed though. As much as a protected hype job Jr. is, he's at least been throgh some adversity and has a number of rounds of experience under his belt. He's not a David Lemieux who thought he could walk over Rubio. I'm pretty sure Roach and Chavez Jr.'s management know this is a dangerous fight. I expect him to be well prepared.
It's only a couple hundred bucks Steve . Times must be rough. You want me to spot you some cash till you next allowance??
Why, because I wasn't interested in betting with some chode but I'm curious about how to place my first online wager on an underdog?
:: demand more. I like this thread- I reckon there is $ to be made taking on the bookies, there are some great odds out there made by bookies who make mistakes, we know the game as good as anyone, I say we get us a proper boxing gambling thread. Get Jake, Reed, and the other ITK's in on it and lets start making some $$$:bears::bears:
Think Rubio over Chavez is a decent bet? Hard to say, considering where the fight is. I think Rubio is probably a better fighter.
Yes but Chavez has better management, thus Chavez W Split Dec, and the bookies know this- what we need is a fight where we can see that Chavez is going to get KTFO but the bookies think he is going to cruise to a decision....or a fight where the bookies think he is going to get KTFO, but we know that the referee will look after him. Problem is, I feel that the pundits and the bookies all read the good websites. I usually go onto Paddy Power.ie or Betfair.com or Stan James or the like. They never offer lucrative odds though. ::
