Ya I know it's being discussed in my other thread but fightbeat sure could use a new thread or two a day so here it is. I do give Floyd credit. I don't care what anybody says he deserves credit to finally put his money where is mouth is. Now Cotto better fucking win this. All he has to do is force Floyd to the ropes and just unload on him. If he boxes Floyd in the centre of the ring for 12 rounds he is as stupid as he looks. Go Cotto!
And unlike that unwanted child Ortiz Cotto will give it his all at least. I'm looking forward to this fight. Haven't said that about a boxing fight in ages.
Big fight atmosphere will take care of that pretty quick. I'm only considering it because my brother and I are planning a vacation that week with Vegas and San Fran as possible destinations. If I'm going to be down there anyway...
It's a great fight. I don't see the beef. Cotto is a great fighter and Floyd needs an opponent. This is 100 times better than Ortiz. I am looking forward to it. Good for you SD. Nothing better than Vegas during a big fight.
Yeah man, my brother is good shit. Three years younger than I am. He sat ringside with me at Hopkins/Pascal - he likes boxing, but doesn't really follow it that closely. He's graduating from University this Spring so we're planning a celebration.
The only thing is, I've already watched Cotto get his ass whipped at the MGM (vs. Margarito) Still, I'd like to see one of the last guys with true boxing skill do his thing before it's too late.

Does anyone know if Floyd will make Cotto drain himself to fight him at a catch up weight like Manny? Also, did Cotto accepted Olympic-style drug testing?
