but then again, he did move up to whup rafael pineda, outpointed mcgirt at 147, and outpointed vasquez at 154.

I am probably in the minority, but Pea's first win over McGirt at 147 was probably the most impressive outing of his career.

McGirt had taken the title by completely befuddling the tornado that was Simon Brown. And Buddy was probably at the abolutely apex of his career.

Depite being a fun, close fight, Pernell was never threatend and out-boxed McGirt every step of the way.

 

No way, Catch weights weren't invented until Pac-man moved up to 147.
