New York has a good shout, it's got a lot going for it, but I don't see what one definitive feature it has over London
Just on wiki. Sheffield 1.2m Met area Newcastle 1.6m Met area Leeds/Bradford 2.2m Met Area Glasgow 2.5m Met area Manchester 2.6m Met area Birmingham 3.6 Met area London 13.9m Met area That's just stupid.
If Birmingham disappeared tomorrow how many weeks until anyone noticed? What are those 3.6million cunts DOING?
I used to fawn over cities. Now I just regard them with disdain. I like looking at them for a safe distance. Cities are good for one thing only: being sieged. I would have made a great siege-commander. I could have besieged Leningrad and won, on hate alone. Not of Leningrad, but of cities. Its my dream to roll into a city, enquire as to who the 10 most prominent intellectual free-thinkers were, then execute them and replace them with chicken farmers or organic slop merchants. I used to work night-shift security in the inner-city when I was undergrad, smack bang in the middle of the good-times, 1999, 2000, 2001. I used to look at Dublin at night, only time I liked it was when all the scum had gone home and I knocked off at 8am or so, dead tired, but wide awake, get a coffee. Cities are nice when they are cold, quiet and deserted. I guess this is how Travis Bickle felt.
Am rooting for United myself. I would accept a United title in exchange for a Liverpool 4th place. PS, with the utmost respect, Terry is no bigger a scumbag than the institutions which claim to oppose him and his ilk. A charlatan is a charlatan. The difference is Terry has no education and knows no better. They do.
I get what you're saying, where are you from in Ireland? For me though, I love the hustle and bustle of the city, and need to be as close to it as I can.
I could never live in New York city or London city. Too over crowded. I'd be so wound up all day, every day. Shepherds Bush is different though. Something special 'bout the place. Slice, I hope you get that place that you're after there.
Shepherds Bush is clearly the coolest place in London right now, good mix of everything, something for everyone. Saying that, closer to the city for me, the better. Love it.
Devastated after that. Really am. Such a promising start, dominated, passed the ball neatly. Zamora deserved his goal for his early efforts - could have had a goal before he scored. Cisse deserved to be sent off - you can't grab an opposing player by his throat. Wolves though were so reckless in their challenges and should have had a man sent off. They came out all guns blazing in the second half - Luke Young exposed throughout that second half - we need a better right back. Zamora played well, but after Cisse was sent off, he didn't do much. Taiwo and Onoucha played well- strong and have a presence about them and can play abit too.
Cisse is known for his outbursts, but if he can keep his temper in cheque (after today), he will be a real threat. Fuck Wolves. Fuck fuck fuck. I'm getting drunk now.
A cool head is needed after being on the end of such a tackle. If Cisse had kept his cool and walked away, i've no doubt we would have won.
Feebs has been playing this "Now we are safe" game :: expecting some sort of collapse.....I don't think Newcastle will make the top 4 but they are definitely in a top-4 race.
