hatton is better than bradley and would have beat him at any weight. according to most here it was a shite win at welter since hatton was trash there, but great when allowed to cut weight

Basically yeah. When he was matched against guys who could match him for physical strength, his style was compromised in a big way, and half his gameplan went down the drain.

I do agree though that Bradley isn't as good as Hatton. Hatton is faster and more powerful, with better footspeed.

Bradley is less gung ho though, and a bit sneakier, so should do a lot better against Pacquiao.

Yeah, the weight isn't an issue. FWIW, I dont think it was for Floyd-Hatton either.

Too bad PBF pussed out and never faced Tszyu - only the best guy in his division.

the main difference between Floyd-Hatton and this fight is that Hatton was far from the best fight for Floyd at ww at the time ( a good win but Margarito, Willaims, Cotto or Mosley would all have been better, I may be off in the timeline for some of these names though ). Bradlye is the best fight, save a big maybe for Berto who's injured, that Pac can make at ww right now.

Double, you have too many opinions for someone who doesn't follow boxing outside the ring.

this is a good fight. a young up and comer in his prime is exactly the kind of opponent that pac has been avoiding recently.

Oh so all floyd has to do is say he wants to fight someone and hes absolved of any responsibility if the fight doesnt get made?

Tszyu - just another top fighter pbf never faced.

mayweather jr actually wanted to fight tszyu, unlike johnston, margarito and williams. he talked about it all the time and knew how to beat him.

It means most everything you type about events outside the ring is grossly misinformed.

well, thats an important distinction. it's almost like pbf did beat tszyu - as you say, he knew how.

Thats not true at all. And by the way - most of the people who think they know ehat goes on in fact do not. They're simply the ones willing to take for granted that some version told them is fact.

Interesting. So rather than read stories about the sport I should make stories up to suit my argument?

he wanted the fight and said the way to beat tszyu was to beat him to the punch and tie him up. he said this before hatton beat tszyu. whether he would have executed the gampelan and defeated tszyu is open to interpretation. him wanting the fight was a fact. just as it is factual to say he wanted no part of johnston or margarito

I'm trying to be nice. I do believe Double at least watches the fights. I'd be shocked if Double has read a single piece of boxing journalism away from Fightbeat in the last five years.

Lets start right here in this thread, you know, the reason we're having this conversation in the first place. Gad.

    It's a daily occurrence.

Did pbf face tszyu? I could've sworn he did not. Oh. Wait. Are you referring to the fact pbf said he wanted to face tszyu? Yeah. I dontput a whole lot of stock in that. Which brings us to my original point. You apparently take everything at face value. You go by what pbf says. I find it more telling to look at what he does.
