So, can Mosley repeat the Margarito performance?

Hopefully Alvarez can beat Shane into retirement. I have no interest in seeing Shane fight anymore.

Wright vs Quillin. This looks like a garbage undercard so far.

I would fucking love to see Mosley smash alvarez, but it seems he has nothing left at this point, unfortunately the ginge should win fairly easy, by way of Mosley doing nothing much.

"Mosley should be easy work for Alvarez at this stage"

What stage would this be? He's not too far removed from the version that was blood-tested and deemed worthy for Floyd.

Shane is a reformed cheat and a proud man in desperate need of some Korean ho-down money. He'll fight his balls off. Both of them.

Alvarez is a chubby Irish cherub with as much gas in his tank as a V8 Corvette in 1973. Not much.

Close fight, right now I give it to Alvarez in a close decision win. The Shane that beat up Wilfredo Rivera would destroy this kid. EPO or no EPO.

I wouldn't put it past him. Suppose Mosley gets back on the juice, puts in a gargantuan effort in camp etc....he's already innately better, has tonnes more experience at a better level, and has the ultimate motivation, in that he doesn't want to spend the rest of his fucking life doing Tuesday Night Fights with Al Albert and the The Champ, Sugar O'Grady just so he can pay off his bills and his debts.

We already know that Alvarez is a deeply flawed fighter with questionable stamina.

This is close. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I would be interested to see what Reed and Jake have to say, their minority report is crucial.

I wonder how Canelo reacts to one of those hard right hands Mosley like to throw all his weight behind.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to this fight. :dunno:

Alvarez wins easily. Mosley has nothing left and Alvarez is much better than this board thinks

I doubt this fight comes to pass. As overrated as I always thought Shane was, he never was a clubfighter like Alvarez. Shane could win this. They are just using this to sell some tickets and one of them, probably Mosely, will get some money to have a pulled stomach muscle and he can't fight. Mosely would really have to be completely shot to lose this fight. If he has anything left, he will smash this bum around.

That is an interesting angle. Maybe it doesn't come off. Boxing is so fucking Byzantine.

Shane not on the juice has no cardio and no fight in him. I expect Canelo to stop Shane late. Shane won't even come to fight.

Agreed, the thing is, he won't even try and win. I don't think he has what it takes at this point to take the necessary risks to win, even against someone as scrubby as Alvarez. He'll fight out of a shell and lose a clear decision.

As others have said, this is an astute prediction. I've seen it happen before when it's advertised as an under-card fight, only to end up as a HBO main event. I can't recall which fight(s), but this one (Canelo/Mosley) fits the profile.

Mosley looked like shit against Floyd and Pac...no shame there. Also, the Latin Fake is a greasy negative little bastard. It is a good test for Shane. If he can't beat someone as shitty as Alvarez he is done at even low world class level. Alvarez is a notch above a clubfighter.

Alvarez is a stationary target. Mosley could take advantage of that.

I get the feeling people would love a 28-year old Shane Mosley vs. the Ginger matchup

HA! Once i read that Kirkland and Mosley were being considered for Canelo's next match i knew that the Mosley fight was made. Kirkland was never part of the equation.

What is up with these new age Mexican fighters(Canelo/Chavez)? Zero balls!

It's not the fighters balls I question, it's the suits trying to exploit them for cash. The fanbase is already there, the job is done unfortunately.

I will buy this card if this fight doesn't get cancelled. I will literally wait to buit an hour before the fight. 60/40 this fight gets cancelled. Either way, seeing Mosely get bashed or Canelo get bashed will be enjoyable.
