The managers of Canelo Alvarez will only let him face Mosley if they know he is as shot and past his prime as Kermit The Frog Cintron is. Right now Kirkland can KO both Canelo AND Chavez Jr in a single night. The will never face him until he is shot.

I would give anything to see a prime Shane in with Canelo, but Shane is beyond shot and likely in for a beating.

Agreed. Anytime a warrior like Shane asks his corner to stop a fight (as he did against Pacquiao) you know it's over for him. He's just cashing out.

What's funny is how people complained about his effort and how much he didn't deserve the Pacquiao shot, yet here some of these people are actually giving him a chance against a young guy who can actually throw punches with a little sauce on them.

Canelo fights at a snails pace. He's not going to force a pace that Shane can't keep up with. He's got power, but doesn't open up enough. Shane has a good shot here. IMO

Now, does this prediction make any assumptions regarding Mosley's use of PEDs?

I don't worry about that. Mosley fights the way he fights and no PED's are going to change that. It's about styles. It's not a prediction either as I didn't pick a winner.

EXCELLENT Matchup for a PPV Undercard and a NATURAL Progression in the Career of Canelo...Quintessential Cross Roads Battle...

Sugar Shane is More than Likely SHOT, but there's Still Enough Reasonable Doubt to Make him a VERY LIVE Underdog in this Bout...Canelo has Very AVERAGE Speed (@ Best), While Shane is STILL World Class in this Particular Regard...Shane's Also an Underrated PUNCHER, Whereas Canelo's Defense is VERY Leaky...

    Intriguing Fight...

But Shane isn't going to force the action either. Not only is Shane lacking the ability to pull the trigger, but when he does there is nothing on his shots. This leads him to seriously lack confidence in his ability to win and just like in the Pacquiao fight he's going to be throwing pitty pat jabs with the simple intention of looking like he's doing something while all the time being in survival mode.

Maybe if Shane had been an actual boxer he'd have a slightly better chance here, but the fact that both him and Saul are borderline brawlers means he's only going to be fighting Saul at his own game. With neither being defensive, and Shane lacking the power and durability of his prime, I have to go with Alvarez in a one sided beat down, and an ugly grapple-fest beat down at that.

If Shane has nothing on his shots, what does that say for Mayweather's chin?

Mosley is better than Kirkland. Kirkland beat up a slow plodder in Angulo, the same Angulo that got beat up by Kermit Cintron. The fight before that, he was knocked out in 1 round by a nobody with zero power.

    Kirkland is garbage.

Seriously doubt that. Mosley would probably knock his chinny ass out.

Agreed. Mosley is all but done but Kirkland's style plays right into his hands.

I just can't forget the Ishida fight. Angulo hurt him bad too. I just think his chin is a major liability and he will get stopped again, and probably soon.

Was probably the single last hard shot he's thrown. You do realize that was 3 fights ago right? Look how terrible Mosley looked against Mora where he absolutely couldn't put anything on his shots.

Gotta agree with this. In fact I wouldn't even pick Mosley over Cintron at this point, and that is saying something.

The Mora fight was at 154, Floyd fight was at 147. Mosley would NEVR EVER get KO'd in one by some scrub with 6 KO's or lose to a guy like Ishida, period.

I don't think he gets KO'd either, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the fight stopped due to him taking too much punishment, or him quitting on his stool. Also, won't the Alvarez fight be at 154?

Yep. I didn't pick Mosley to win though especially by KO, I just think he has a chance due to Canelo fighting at a Hopkins-like pace.

Won't happen. Mosley's fodder at this point. Merely a stepping stone (name) for up coming fighters.

Could be, or Canelo could be just scrubby enough to lose to an experienced guy like Mosley.
