My point is that it's not necessarily racist in either direction, but the perception is more likely to be that it's racist going the way one would expect racism to go. There's a reason racism against white people is called "reverse racism." In the circumstance I don't think what Floyd said was racist objectively, it was just poorly considered and not very bright.

Agreed, racism is racism these days, I don't care how you want to swing it. If you show prejudice against another person, it's racism, even if they're white.

I once become friends with a Jamaican couple from London, I met them on holiday, and we travelled around together for a while.

They once said "We don't really have any white friends, but you're not like most white guys, you're cool".

At the time I thought it was funny and didn't think much of it, then afterwards I thought jesus, just imagine if I said that. "I don't really have any black friends, but you're not like most darkies" ::

Equality is equality. If races are to be treated equally, then people shouldn't get a free pass at racism towards whitey.
