    Agreed.

I slagged him off at stages before this, due to his attitude, but you can't take anything away from him on his performance.

Piano Dude, in round 1, I didn't even think Vitali looked shot, or lacking in sharpness. But it was immediately noticeable that his punches had less snap on them, they just seemed feeble. Usually they are arm punches, but snappy, thudding arm punches.

He came in at 243, at 252 he was destroying Arreola with the same shots, but that was 2 years ago now.

I had typed up a full post, but apparently this forum won't accept it.

Good effort by DC, V is clearly way past his once-formidable best now. That said, I think might have given DC 2 rounds, tops. Nobody in this game, especially considering their age, backs up and scores points with the same efficiency as V. Chisora worked away as hard as he good and did land some very good body shots. Chisora would win the first minute, then get picked off and out[-landed. He had claret in the mouth as early as the 2nd round.

Chisora tried to imitate Frazier a bit.

Possibly, but he turned in a similar performance vs Sosnowski and Sosnowski landed very little. There were a lot of looping Kidney shots in there too, big rights around to his back, in fact most of Chisoras good body shots were with the right, not the left, they were looped around to his back, you could see a big welt on his back where they were landing.

He didn't wobble him, but he landed his own body shots too, and Chisora lost the 9th, 10th and 11th right after Vitali was supposed to be in crisis in the 7th. Chisora had blood in the mouth quite early, it was a clear win, just not as dominant as we are used to and in fairness, thats probably where most of the surprise lay, as opposed to anything Chisora was doing.

Its a bit disheartening to see experienced fight-journos entertaining the bus-burning attitude of a guy who is clearly a complete douche.

 First you have to have a chin and youth and be 15 years younger. Secondly you need to weigh at least 240. Thirdly, you need to be able to fight three minutes of every round. Against a 40 year old man. Its like watching Barry McGuigan fighting Eusebio Pedroza and saying "See, see, I told you, to beat this ancient guy all you have to do is be brave and strong enough to set a wicked unsustainable pace and drop him a few times and you have him"

Even when he was tired, Vitali was backing up and constantly getting off short, subtle shots, downstairs and upstairs. The commentators were making out that Chisora was winning because Vitali was going backwards.

The guy is 40. He'll be 41 in a few months. And its not Hopkins stuff, one right hand per round, either.

Vitali without a left hand is still difficult to beat, but it's obviously a much easier hill to climb.

Chisora was tough and took his shots well, but again, it's easier to take shots when you know which direction they are coming from.

Dereck Chisora brawled with British rival David Haye tonight in a confrontation which left the former WBA heavyweight champion's trainer and manager with a nasty facial cut.

After losing a brave 12-round decision to WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in Munich tonight, Chisora mocked the onlooking Haye for his poor performance against Klitschko's brother Wladimir last year - a fight which cost him his title.

Chisora then confronted Haye during the press conference and the two men grappled around the room with onlookers and entourages getting involved.

Someone - possibly Chisora - claimed to have been 'glassed' before grabbing a bottle himself.

Haye's trainer and manager Booth, who like Haye had been commentating on the fight, then appeared with a cut forehead, while someone held aloft a camera tripod threateningly.

Even by boxing's often chaotic standards the unsavoury incident was shocking, drawing gasps and cries of alarm as those involved fell about the room.

Klitschko - and brother Wladimir - seemed to stay out of it, before both Booth and Haye criticised the Ukrainians' manager Bernd Boente for not agreeing a fight between the Englishman and the WBC champion.

Haye, who had been working as a television pundit, was first to leave the scene, shouting abuse at Chisora, while Chisora urged Booth to check who injured him and insisted he was not at fault.

After Haye and Chisora were separated, Haye became involved in a fight with member of Chisora's entourage in which both men threw punches.

Haye then grabbed the camera tripod and swung it at the head of the character he was fighting with. Booth seemed to get caught in the middle and seemingly suffered the cut at the hands of his own friend.

Chisora and his promoter Frank Warren appeared to be trying to goad Haye into a high-profile fight between the two Londoners.

"David, how's your toe?" Chisora repeatedly shouted at Haye, referring to the injury he blamed his loss to Wladimir Klitschko on.

Haye said something back, to which Chisora said: "Do you want to tell me to my face? Tell me to my face!"

Chisora then left the stage, approached Haye and went nose-to-nose before appearing to push the former champion and initiate the brawl.

David Haye's manager Adam Booth suffered facial cuts after being caught up in a brawl between his fighter and British rival Dereck Chisora in Munich.

Haye, who had been working for TV, was embroiled in a row at the press conference after Vitali Klitschko's WBC heavyweight win against Chisora.

Haye appeared angered by comments from the Klitschko brothers' manager that he would not get a fight with Vitali.

That sparked a confrontation with Chisora which led to a violent melee.

Haye was defeated by Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg last summer and promptly retired from the sport.

However, he has since come out of retirement with the aim of setting up a fight with Wladimir's brother Vitali.

But during the press conference, Bernd Boente, the Klitschko's manager said: "With the bad experience we've had with British fighters we will now look for other countries.

"Contrary to David Haye, Dereck Chisora really went for it and really tried."

Haye, who was at the back of the room, said: "You don't want to fight David Haye, no?"

Boente replied: "You had an offer, you didn't accept it, now you are out. You are out. Out, out, out. You cannot talk yourself back into the fight, you have no belts. Chisora showed heart, contrary to you. You showed your toe [Haye claimed he broke a toe before the fight]."

Chisora and his promoter Frank Warren then appeared to goad Haye into an all-British fight, with Chisora repeatedly saying "How's your toe?"

Haye hit back that Chisora was a loser, prompting Chisora to leave the stage and confront Haye, sparking the brawl.

At one point Haye picked up and swung a tripod and Booth, who was trying to break things up, was left with a wounded face.

After watching the unexpected drama unfold, Wladimir Klitschko told the BBC: "I'm totally disappointed, it went a little too far, the sport of boxing shouldn't be like that.

"Bloody faces in the press conference... fighting in the ring, not out. I'm really surprised."

It completes an ugly week for Chisora, who was handed a fine by the WBC for slapping Vitali Klitschko in the pre-fight weigh-in on Friday afternoon .

Once in the ring, Chisora appeared to spit water in the direction of Wladimir Klitschko's face moments before the fight began. At the end of the contest, he went head-to-head with Vitali as the Ukrainian was awarded the belt he successfully defended.

That was an interesting fight. I though DC won at least three rounds (6-8) and Vit looked his age in spots.

I gave him two rounds, possibly one even. thought Vitali looked his age in spots too, but he's still got a bit left, whether he wants to waste it dealing with Haye, who might be fighting Chisora now, is his decision.

"I don't know what story you read initially but this is the piece that I sent from Munich. There were terrible scenes at the press conference, with Dereck Chisora confronting David Haye and the pair having a fight at the back of the press room; Adam Booth, Haye's trainer ended up with his head cut; Haye and Don Charles, Chisora's trainer, grappling and fighting, while the Klitschko team looked on laughing. Diabolical scenes."- Gareth A Davies of The Telegraph, live from Munich.

Some of the comments on the broadsheet websites would seem to reinforce your opinion.

Personally, I think the Goverment should buy these guys a bank. Give them a branch each.

Sad. These guys get more pleasure out of being seen, recognized even, as wind-up merchants and firebrands, rather than out of being good fighters. People can thank their lucky stars that the Klitschkos were around long enough to make sure this rabble didn't get the lions share of attention and money. It reminds me a bit of Haugen vs Camacho, where Haugen got as much fun from "fucking with Camacho" as he did in winning the fight. Haye is nearly finished. Notice how Chisora didn't mess with the Fury clan. Maybe he doesn't like dags.
