If that is what the offer really was then Mayweather didn't want the fight.

This fight hasn't happened mostly because of Floyd.

Pacquiao has some blame too but most of it is Floyd's fault.

is pacquiao going to make 40 million dollars vs tim bradley? how much less is mayweather jr going to make facing cotto than he would have made getting 50 % of the profits from a pacquaio fight? these are the questions i wonder about

Interesting questions, the answers to which might explain a lot about why the fight hasn't been made. But it's unrelated to the separate question of who's to blame for the fight not getting made.

    $40 Million?

    $50 Million?

Fuck both these guys. Ellerbe is right about one thing. Pac has no idea where the money is coming from or where it goes. The guy is a stump when it comes to those things.

Have we forgotten the financial and promotional problems he's gotten himself into in the past?

if Im pacquaio and i think i can beat mayweather jr, and truly want the fight then i dont give a fuck about percentages or what mayweather jr is getting. If 40 million dollars is considerably more than Im making against bradley or have made against any other foe in my career then Im strongly considering the offer. then again how much of that 40 million will he have to give to Arum and other leeches around him?

So what are you accusing pac of? Thinking he can't win or not wanting the fight?

40 million is considerably more than either guy has ever made in their careers and in fact may be more than any fighter has ever made.

Why would Floyd deny him the PPV revenue? That's where the real money will come from.

of course floyd is the problem. "man up and take 40 million"

haha you guys are dumbfucks. The fight generates 200 million, and u want one of the guys to accept 40 mil. Unlike Floyd, pac is believable because he's not riff raff from a family of whitney houston impersonators and illiterate dungbeetles. If we strung together Floyd's public statements about making the fight they'd make ur head spin with the actual facts and events.

Oh but Floyd started a twitterbeefs! He really wants the fight now!

If either wanted the fight it would have happened by now. Neither guy wants it that's obvious.

Not if the fight is worth 150-200 million and we are equal PPV draws. That's a slap in the face. Why would Pac get no ppv percentage?

Only Floyd groupies can justify this.

  19. The problem is MORE with Floyd but if Pac wanted the fight as much as he claims he would have taken the 40M, knock him out and then be in a position to demand whatever the hell he wants.

    Pac is playing politics also.

  20. 40 million is a hell of alot of money, in fact it would be a record purse by far. Fuck pac also.

Yeah, he should take a shitty deal in the biggest fight of his career just to prove he wants the fight. Worst post ever Sly.

Maybe the fight is worth $300 Million. Maybe a Billion. The sky's the limit people.

  23. Forty Million Dollars is a shitty deal?

When the fight is worth 150-200 million dollars? Why doesn't Floyd take 40 million? You can't be this stupid.

When you're more or less as big a draw as the other guy, and he could be making 50% to 100% more than you, then yes.

  26. Slice N Dice

It is when put into context. $5 Million dollars is alot of money in general terms, but seems paltry when compared to the sums this fight would generate.

I hope one of them gets hit by a bus. Not enough to kill them, just to end their career. Torn rotator cuff, dislocated elbows, that sort of thing.

Then the other is relegated to fighting the Paulie Malignaggis of the world for bus fare, and room and board for their entourage at the Motel 6.

  28. Like I said, it's more Floyd's fault, but if Pacquiao was this warrior that just wanted to fight the best...he'd FUCKING TAKE FORTY MILLION DOLLARS...because that's a hell of alot of money.

  29. *Z*

*Z* WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

Groupie logic, you're showing your true colors today Sly.

  30. Groupie logic because I put more of the blame on Floyd?

What, Pacquiao is faultless in this?
