6 or 7 years since the GREAT Lamont Brewster with two working eyes put the smackdown on Wladimir.

Without looking it up, Brewster stopped Wlad in 2005. I think it was April.

2004 anyways. Its easy to remember because the Sanders fight came next. And its been gravy every since. A lot of noses have been knocked out joint- not all of them in the ring either.

fUCK WLAD. Losing to Laman Brewster is a disgrace. Losing to him in a panic attack is even better.

Well its more like a Soul Train of sub par fighters, I suppose. Maybe thats the problem. I know Kevin Johnson and Ray Mercer didn't take any shit.

In Wlad's Defense, FATIGUE was a Bigger Factor than Any Panie...Wlad vs. Sanders was Possibly a Panic Attack, but Wlad vs. Brewster was Fatigue...

Wlad vs Brewster WASN'T Some Foul Pole, Deer-in-Headlights, "Get Me OUT of Here!" Type of Shit...

In the Sanders fight, Wlad was punched out of the fight. No panic. He was caught, did not recover, and was taken out. He finished on his feet but he was legitimately stopped. There was no question of panic. He didn't have time to panic. Sanders nailed him, there was a headbutt in there too but only after the first knockdown and only because Wlad was trying to clinch. Headbutts have a deleterious effect irrespective of how they arose.

Who knows what went on in the Brewster fight. Its kind of hard to fatigue when the other guy isn't landing too many clean shots.

In any case, his losses remain the most often discussed losses of any current marquee titlist apart from Vitali's or, regarding Margaritio I, Cotto's :scratcher:

Not even Manny Pacquaio's losses are pored over with such enthusiasm.

It really isnt too hard to fatigue if you are throwing waaay more punches than you are accustomed to, and power punches at that. Especially at his size. The guy could barely breathe near the end.

Yep but compare that to the Purritty fight where he threw way more leather and was stopped much much later, and was in nowhere near as bad a state.

Wlad was fucked as early as the 2nd round in that first Brewster fight. It was palpable something was not right. You could make an argument if he fell apart in the 10th or 11th. Not the second.

I can't waste my time saying anything beyond that, because I can't prove anything.

I would settle for making one basic point- neither Wlad, Manny Steward or Judd Bernstein were content with the version of events served up by the pertinent "authorities". Don King controlled all the belts after that fight.

Hardly necessary, when his wins get examined much more closely, especially by Floyd, Roger and....you.
