    Unfortunately, his actual fights don't.

So do my eyes. Wlad to me is just better, beyond the obvious fact that his chin isn't great.

Vitali has lost a step, but he was a much better fighter than Wlad.

he looked like shit against Chisora. I doubt Wlad loses a round to that guy.

Right, but Vitali's 40. You can't take that performance and come back and say Wlad has always been better based on that.

Wlad has always been more fluid than Vitali. I'm not saying Vitali isn't good, he's real good. He just fights like a robot.

For sure... but the fluidity argument doesn't really fly anymore. Can you imagine what Lennox Lewis, even the old out of shape Lewis, would have done to poor Wlad?

This is brilliant shit. The academic magnificence of the vaunted steve_dave floundering on the craggy shitty rocks of a pair of Euro-Stiffs. :laugh11: Are you sure your mom didn't squat you out on April 1st?

Watch the fights. The guy might throw one hard punch per round... when in there with an over matched, fat opponent he'll gradually turn it up, I guess.

Guy was petrified to let anything go against a David Haye who wasn't even fighting.

Haye was unning from him all night, we both know how that works.

And as far as him throwing 1 hard punch per round , that is false. He is probably one the best 1 punch KO artists the sport has seen.

Wlad used to let his hands go... unfortunately he's far too soft to be able to fight like that.

I agree that Wlad doesnt let his hands go like he used to, which I miss. However, to say he doesnt put anything on his punches is just not true. He will always be a dangerous puncher.

They're just very few and far between these days. Especially early in fights.

Honestly, I think Chisora goes the distance with Wlad.

This is very possible, as I think Chisora is a very tough guy.

Not much of a fighter, but yeah, I guess he's tough.

Brewster showed one thing, that he's tough. Other than that Wlad beat the shit out of him so bad he collapsed himself.

It was only the 5th round. Nerves beat him as badly as Brewster did.

Agreed, Byrd could have knocked him down at that point.

For sure. Still, only the 5th round. Wasn't just the punishment he was dishing out. Guy had no confidence at the time and the nerves got the better of him.

Brewster had poison on his gloves.

Who did you have for the Sam Peter vs Wlad fight, first time?

Peter wasn't fat, nor, did the established wisdom deem him over-matched...and Wlad was throwing hard shots from the get go.

I'm no doctor,..the fragmented thinking and poor spelling gives that away alone,.. but I always thought, particularly after Mosely - Margarito,.. that Brewster could have hit Wlad in the gut and temporarily irritated his pancreatic function, because reportedly his blood sugar levels were extremely erratic after the fight. Margarito exhibited similar symptoms after a body shot from Shane,.. he went pale, and could barely lift his arms any longer. He wasn't poisoned, he was just hit with an insidious blow.
