Pacquiao speaks... I believe him....

    Couldn't agree more, bro.

Not fighting for years when you are over 30 years old is damn good for the reflexes and timing (Something Floyd is built on). I think that is the main reason why Trinidad kicked so much ass after retiring and coming back and we were all witnesses of the much better, fresher, sharper and rejuvenated version of DLH he kept telling us he was after every long hiatus.

If only Pacquiao was as smart and stopped training and fighting until he was... I don't know, 37 or 38 years old I would strongly consider picking him to beat a 40 year old Floyd (If he keeps fighting during the time).

It's not about who's a warrior and who's not. This is about EGO. That's it. When you're at the top of your sport like these two are, the egos are astronomical. If one gives in, their fan base will bitch and look at it as a sign of weakness.

Do any of you believe if it's anything less than 50/50, the fighter who gets the majority wins the first part of the psychological battle? That could mean something when it comes to these two fighters.

Floyd claimed that he never made this offer and it's bullshit, that Pacquiao is talking out his ass. It's basically a case of he said/she said.

Well he difinitely said he's not giving Manny 50-50 which is the only way the fight is going to happen so either way, he killed it.

It seems that Canelo is next to face Mayweather. Alvarez is saying that the only reason he agreed to face Mosley on the Floyd vs Cotto undercard was that he was promised the winner.

Trinidad kicked so much ass when he came back because he wasn't fighting Kevin Lueshing anymore. Oh and his magic wraps had been discovered.

  13. I agree. Which is why I say that both are to blame...Floyd moreso, but both are going by ego over common sense.

if any fighter refuses a 40M purse for any reason he's an egomaniac and a cunt.

The amount is not the point. The point is that the split should be fair. 50/50 is fair
    - Most PBF apologists admitted this in a thread made quite some time ago, that I bumped recently.

The issue then, was that apparently Pac didn't want the fight (and was on PEDs) because he didn't agree to PBF's unprecendented 11th hour stipulation.

Recently, after Pac had agreed for some time to the tests, & PBF had "lost interest / recovered interest" in boxing, (much the same as he retired/ un-retired at a time when Cotto/ Williams & Margarito were looking dangerous)), PBF decided that he definately wanted the fight. He proceeded to employ the revolutionary negotiating strategy of "twitter ranting".

Now, Manny has agreed to everything PBF has demanded, but PBF wants more than 50/50. (which I predicted he would BTW).

Consequently, a shift has occured..Now I'm reading "well that's a lot of money anyway"...Manny is a bit to blame, isn't he...?"

If Neil was your advisor for the possible fight of the century, and he came to you and said give your opponnent Mayweather ALL the ppv money, sign the contract anyway because you're not going to make more fighting Bradley, eventhough Mayweather won't make more fighting Cotto either, what would YOU do?

I'd tell him there is no further need for him to continue advising me and wish him good luck with the rest of his career.

What I love is how they treat Manny as if he was some sort of indigent bean farmer that couldn't count. Pound for Pound, Manny's sort are far more frugal and financially-sound.

Manny couldn't save a dime to save his life, he blows large fortunes on his enoturage, his political campaigns .....that doesn't mean he's innumerate.

If Fighter was a professional boxer and was offered 50 million to fight Mayweather he would be signing a contract to fight Arturo Gatti for the NAOB regional title in Rio de Janeiro for $120 the next day.

Pac already turned down the deal he now wants 2 years ago.

He is complaining that he wasn't offered 50/50. He was offered 50/50, the exact same deal in 2010 and he turned it down.

I remember Arum trying to get Peterson to fight Marquez by offering the winner Pacquiao.

My problem is that Pac wanted 50/50 in 2010, Floyd gave him it and Pac pulled out of the fight. Even if Floyd gave him 50/50 he would have said he wouldn't be ready by May 5.

So back in 2010, when pac wasnt as popular, floyd offered him 50/50 but now that pac is more popular he gives him 70/30?

Was that 50/50 ever written down somewhere?

  29. Pascals Wager

I do not remember PBF offering 50/50. I'd like to see some evidence of that.
Why would PBF be offering less now, if that was the case?
