Robin is the fucking gayest idea ever. A little wussy wimpy sissy of a sidekick???? Seriously?? I'm glad Nolan hates it as much as I do. The whole idea of Robin makes Batman and the whole franchise look like shit.

 

I think that had less to do with Robin being in the film and everything to do with bad writing, production, etc.

 

Avengers. Contrary to the rest of the population I am not a bit hyped to watch Bane or that anorexic chic playing Catwoman. There is no Heath Ledger here and if anyone forgot, Batman Begins wasn't a great movie, but merely a good franchise revamp. I'm salivating just to LISTEN the arguments between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. THAT alone will be epic! Avengers Assemble!!!

He also did "Serenity".

He does a pretty decent job of making watchable material out of concepts that should be completely unwatchable.

"Avengers" will still probably be an inconsequential mash-up of Superhero cameos, but I don't think the director choice will have much to do with it.
